However, it fit Ani perfectly, according to Master Yoda. It felt good in her grasp and the hilt was perfectly sculpted - made mainly with black metal but with golden highlights. It was also double- ended, much like the Sith apprentice Darth Maul that killed Qui- Gon Jinn well over ten years ago.
She kept it with her for personal reasons, hiding it in her Jedi robes when she went into town. It ached her soul to carry it, but she knew she couldn't leave without it. Her father was the same. He often kept his lightsaber attached to a belt he had placed under his usual tunic, the silver hilt sliding nicely at his side.
As if the thought of him had summoned him, Ben stepped outside of the hut and looked up at her as she stood on the roof, barefooted. There was a scowl on his face that was obscured by his squinting in the sunlight. His hair had grown and was unruly and his beard was unkempt. He too, sported thin, sport trousers but accompanied by a thin white tunic and a scarf wrapped around his neck due to sunburns he had received from spending hours in the suns, trying to fix their roof the day before.
