Chereads / Ink and Quill / Chapter 7 - The Wolf at the Door

Chapter 7 - The Wolf at the Door

Lanterns lit up the backyard, the surrounding woods, the porch, and the door to the bathing room. Despite the light Ailsa and Blair timidly crossed the porch while squinting to see past the light to the tree line fifty yards away.

"Go on," Elizabeth encouraged with a soft nudge in the small of their backs to keep them moving, "I'm here and there is nothing out there."

Hefting her battle axe, 'Lambrys the Storm Cleaver', she wondered where it came from. Examining its wicked half-moon head and the even deadlier spike counterbalancing it, the cheeks and spike were engraved with what looked like Celtic rope around the parameter. Within the rope border following the curve of the beard and edge, from toe to heel, were the symbols of the moon on one side and sun on the other. Behind the celestial bodies were wolf heads, each one slightly different, on each side above the depictions of two women lying down dead. Behind the wolves and the women were two birds that looked to be crows, or maybe ravens. Each one was in mid-flight and seemed to be holding a spear in their talons. The rest of the engravings were runes. The long curved axe handle was also engraved for its entire length with what appeared to be the same Celtic rope work and runes that was on the axe head. To protect the handle from breaking, the shoulder and halfway down the belly of the handle were heavily engraved bronze guards, and lastly a bronze wedge and cap on the eye of the axe completed the weapon.

She was sure that it told a story, but had no idea what it could be.

Leaves rustling at the tree line snapped her out of her thoughts and she looked up. Ailsa and Blair were continuing on to the bathing room, but she stopped. Within the darkness of the forest she saw the red reflections of torch light in two sets of eyes to each side of a single eye watching her. Ailsa and Blair stopped at the door and looked back nervously though ignorant of the danger only a hundred feet away.

"Elle?" Ailsa asked tentatively.

Pulling her gaze away from the wolves she knew were watching her, she saw Ailsa and Blair's fear and reassured them, "It's okay. Go on inside. I am right behind you."

They nodded as they snatched another look out at the woods, but did as she said. Once the door closed she looked back at the tree line. The black wolf stepped out and stood there glaring at her as if it were waiting for her to come over. It was as large as a Clydesdale and immensely intimidating. Hefting her axe, she looked over at the bathing room door and then stepped off of the porch.

Two days ago she would never have done this. Two days ago she probably would have run screaming back into the house. However, that was two days ago. Today she felt anger and fear, but she also felt power. It felt like a warm glow churning in her belly with butterflies, but as she focused on the warmth the butterflies were burned away. Today she was a protector, a guardian, for her… children; and either the wolves encircling them, or she, would die before she let them near her children!

"You're a courageous one," The black wolf growled as she came to a stop fifty feet from it.

"Does not a mother bear charge to the defense of her cubs," She answered, then nodded to the two wolves still hidden in the trees before adding, "I am sure it is the same for wolves."

The black wolf cocked its head so that it could look back with its good eye toward the forest before it answered, "It is… Or, it would have been… If we were wolves…"

Elizabeth's brow furrowed and she asked, "What do you mean by that?"

The wolf turned its gaze back on her and taunted, "I am here to offer you a deal."

She pursed her plump mouth in aggravation at being ignored, but decided to leave it and asked tersely, "What kind of deal?"

The wolf chuckled and Elizabeth hissed at the sound. Its voice sounded like pieces of leather whisking against each other when it spoke, but its laugh was like gravel squelching when walked upon, "I am here to offer you a quick and almost painless death if you send the two girls out to me now. I will even make sure they're dead before I start eating them if you do..."

Elizabeth's brows furrowed in rage. Her eyes lit up in a blaze of blue fire. Her long brown mane of curly hair lifted up and began waving in the air above her head as it and the golden hair trailing from the small of her back to the tip of her tail caught on fire and burned in a golden flame. She hefted Lambrys which was covered in flame, and snorted fire out of her nostrils as horns of golden flame grew from her forehead and curled back through her fiery hair and over her long pointed ears. With a gristly slurpee tearing pop sound, bones cut through the skin and muscles of her back just below her shoulder blades and shot out before the sinew grew over the bones. Muscle and tendons were not even finished growing before semi-transparent honey brown skin with golden scales beneath grew over Elizabeth's new dragon's wings.

"Well," The wolf growled as its one good eye opened wide as she changed, "This is a surprise…"

Instead of attacking it suddenly turned and ran back under the cover of the woods as Elizabeth's belly and breasts began to glow brightly. Golden flames leaked out of her mouth like a barely contained blast furnace. With a mighty swing of her axe, she slashed through the trees as the flame surrounding the axe extended and cut a five hundred foot arc through everything in front of her!

Trees cracked and fell… A wolf yelped in pain in the distance… Turning toward the cry Elizabeth screamed in her fury blasting a conical gout of fire a thousand feet into the felled forest incinerating everything in an instant.

Ailsa and Blair came running out of the bathing room naked to see the woods on fire. Blair grabbed Elizabeth's arm who was trying to march into the fiery debris intending to find and finish off the wolves that had threatened her charges.

"We're okay Elle," Ailsa cried, "That wolf can't hurt us. You won't let it; but for now you have to calm down!"

Elizabeth growled, but as Ailsa continued to reassure her that they would be okay, the flames that were her eyes and hair, and horns disappeared. Her grip on her axe loosened, and Blair took it as Elle's eyes glazed over just as she slumped against the younger sister. This time Elle was able to walk with only a little help from Blair back to the bathing room leaving Ailsa to cast a 'Rain Burst' spell she hadn't known she could summon until that moment. Clouds gathered, thunder rumbled and rolled across the land, and rain began to fall quenching the flames burning in the forest as Ailsa turned and followed Blair and Elizabeth inside.

Ailsa tisked as she and Blair helped Elizabeth out of her armor and she examined the missing back portion of the new red tunic. There was a massive whole where it had covered Elizabeth's tail and behind only moments ago. Shaking her head she hissed to Blair who shook her head as well, "She is going to be so mad that she has nothing to cover her bum with again."

"I can't believe how difficult it has become for her to keep her clothes on," Blair agreed.

Ailsa nodded as she folded the tunic and laid it on top of the armor, "Yeah no kidding, but then your clothes disappear every time you activate your power too…"

"Yeah," Blair retorted with a nasty smile, "Well you haven't been clothed since you came out of the cloud surrounding the property!"

"Hey! You know I couldn't help that," Ailsa replied defensively.

Blair laughed and then sighed as she looked out at the devastated forest, "Yeah, the things you don't think about when you wish you were a fantasy-monster-superhero…"

Elizabeth may have been awake and mobile, but her mind was a haze. Ailsa looked into her eyes and saw that they were still vacant, so taking one hand Blair took the other and they pulled Elle to a stool and began washing her. Afterwards, they washed themselves, and then rinsed off before stepping into the soaking tub.

——(!)——

Elizabeth recovered more quickly from 'mana burn' than she had the first time. She was sitting in the soaking tub with her head on Ailsa's shoulder when she roused. It felt like she was coming out of a hangover. Looking up she met Ailsa's green hued plump smiling mouth before meeting her bright emerald eyes. Elizabeth hiccupped and she suddenly turned her head as smoke and a bit of fire shot out as she burped!

"Wow!" Blair laughed, "Now that is a belch!"

Elizabeth brought her hands to her mouth in shock and embarrassment and turned to Blair. For some reason the world felt like it moved too fast and everything had a glare to it. She blinked her eyes several times, and once she was able to focus on Blair's face she noticed little things; like how her bottom lip was too plump when compared to her top and they were a much more lush pink hue against her white skin than they had been before. As Blair smiled, Elizabeth caught the glint of white canine teeth that were too long to be normal human teeth, and her once dark brown eyes were now a bright violet that seemed to glow as they gathered up all the light in the room.

"I'm sorry, that was... uncouth," Elizabeth whispered in apology.

Ailsa and Blair both giggled, but it was Ailsa that answered, "If you think that was dramatic, wait until you see the back yard and yourself..."

"What," She gasped as she lifted her arms out of the water and inspected them.

Turning her hands over, she watched the muscles in her forearms flex as she wiggled her fingers and clenched her fists. Beneath, water droplets made impact ripples in the bath that appeared like all water, clear with a slightly bluish tint. She took a deep, shuddering breath and could tell that her breasts and chest felt larger and thicker. Running her hands beneath her bosoms she felt new layers of thin tendons and muscles connected to her ribs. Shifting to lean forward, new wing-arms that had been hanging down her back to rest on the bottom of the tub just to the outside of her buttocks moved to support her. With a strangled yelp she jumped to her hooves. Spinning in a circle, the new wing-arms, as long as her regular arms, fidgeted before unfurling a taloned thumb and four long fingers each the length or longer than her wing-arms.

"Oh… my… god!" She gasped as the thick webbing between the fingers of her wings stretched out until it was nearly transparent and she could clearly see the veins and blood vessels within.

With just a thought of raising her wings they moved to respond just as if she had wanted to raise her arms. She laughed almost hysterically, and then her vision changed and the surface of the bath water shimmered and seemed to disappear. As she looked around and down her body her dark honey-brown skin seemed semi-translucent, but she didn't see bone, muscle, and tendon. Instead, it appeared that she had a layer of golden scales just beneath her skin!

There was a knock on the door immediately followed by Lachlan walking in as he hollered, "What the fuck happened to the woods out here?"

"Lachlan!" Elizabeth growled as she turned to correct him.

"Oh come on!" He pleaded with eyes wide open as he stared at her standing there naked and dripping in the middle of the bath, "I only came to check up on you! Besides, I have seen all of you naked now except Blair, and she was almost naked!"

"Elle!" He gasped in surprise, changing topics, "You've got wings now!"

"You seeing us naked doesn't make it alright to come in and ogle us in the bath! Turn around jackass," Blair growled, for once, to everyone's surprise, standing up for herself.

"I'm not ogling," He retorted defensively in exasperation, then shuddered and continued, "And ew! You're my sisters…"

"Okay Lachlan," Elizabeth answered as she held a hand up for Blair to stop, "You've seen that we are okay, so go back inside."

"May I please stay," He asked timidly, "I promise I will not look. I will keep my back to you the whole time!"

Elizabeth's eyes became sharp and her brows furrowed, at first in anger, but then she asked, "What's wrong Lachlan? Has Connor done something inappropriate?"

"No," He answered, then his small shoulders slumped and he looked at the floor before continuing, "It's just… I asked him if he knew any stories, and well, he did. He told this story, and well it was weird and I get a weird feeling from him now… Like it wasn't really a story at all..."

"I see," Elizabeth said from right behind him as she wrapped her arms around his wings and small frame from behind and squeezed him into her bosoms before whispering, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you with a stranger."

"It's okay Elle," He replied as he shook his head, "I just needed to come check on you after..."

"I understand," She whispered and gave him a kiss on his spiky synthetic hair, afterward she whispered, "Just stand here while we get dressed and then we'll all go inside together."

"Okay," He answered with a nod.

She waved for Ailsa and Blair to get out and dry off and dress. When she found her tunic she hissed at the massive hole exposing her ass to the world again! Once everyone was dressed they marched into the house with Lachlan and the girls leading the way. Elizabeth followed them while holding her armor in one arm and tried to hold the back of her tunic closed with the other as she scampered back into the room and closed the door.

She hadn't bothered with putting her armor back on, and so laid the various pieces across the bed before leaning Lambrys against the wall near the door. Pulling her tunic off she tossed it across the back of a chair set in front of a small vanity and began rummaging through the wardrobes for something that would fit her.

Connor's daughter and wife must have been very petite because nothing came close to fitting, and then she searched the hope chest at the foot of the bed. Inside she found the possessions of a more rubenesque woman. There was jewelry, ancient utensils for the application of makeup, a roll of diaphanous cloth and a roll of a more opaque white linen, gold and silver shoulder clips and belts, simple Roman styled leather sandals, and gold and silver necklaces and bracelets. The final roll of cloth was thicker and dyed purple, and beneath it was a box.

Elizabeth had no idea what she was looking at. The house, the story of 'Red Riding Hood', was aesthetically and historically a north European folktale. However, everything inside the hope chest was much older, ancient even. Much earlier in history maybe even predating Rome and Greece. Retrieving the box at the bottom of the hope chest she found rolled scrolls. Pulling one out and delicately spreading it across her thighs, she saw that it was in a language she had never seen before. What she did know was it wasn't German, or any other European language. Strangely, it resembled the Hebrew language, at least what she had seen of it in her father's diglot Bible.

Rolling the parchment up, she put it back where she took it from. Standing up with the three different carefully folded fabrics, she set them and the jewelry on the bed. Inspecting the shoulder clips, she recognized them for what they were and realized what the fabrics must be. Rummaging through the room once more, she found a leather traveling bag and a dark purple hooded cloak shoved to the back of the wardrobe that was more aesthetically appropriate to the historical time frame 'Red Riding Hood' took place in.

Laying the bag and hood on the bed, she took the short diaphanous cloth and wrapped it around her body and beneath her wings. It was a short chiton falling only to her mid-thighs, as long as she didn't wag her tail too much. She wrapped the body of the sheer material under her left arm and clipped the two corners of the fabric together over her right shoulder. In the dim light of the room she could clearly see the silhouette of her body beneath the thin covering, but was sure that it wasn't too revealing. It was by her estimation far more than she could have hoped for since coming to this fantasy world on Gabriel Shara's property.

The chiton bared her right breast, her hip and thigh, and most of her right side. Pulling out a gold belt, she wrapped it around her waist several times, and smiled in satisfaction as she pulled the chiton into place so that it accentuated her curves very nicely instead of leaving her half naked or looking like a formless square. Gathering up the large white linen and purple cloth, the cloak, the jewelry, and anything else she thought might come in handy before they reached Gabriel's home, she packed it in the leather traveling bag and set it beside Lambrys before going out to eat dinner.

"Elle, this soup is so good!" Blair called as she drank the broth and picked out the meat and gobbled it down.

"Mmm, yes, very yummy," Ailsa added as she picked out the vegetables in her soup to eat.

Elizabeth smiled until she saw Lachlan who was sitting there watching with mouth partly open and ravenous eyes. As she approached Connor handed her a bowl of soup and she took it with a softly spoken 'thank you' before asking Lachlan, "Aren't you going to eat?"

"I wish!" He answered with an envious smirk, "But, I am a robot now and I don't feel hungry even though it smells so good!"

"I'm sorry, watching us eat must be intolerable," She apologized since she couldn't think of anything she could do to fix the situation.

"Yeah," He sighed, but it didn't keep him from staring at her as she ate.

Trying to ignore Lachlan, Elizabeth turned to Connor and asked, "The wolf outside and you seem to have a tumultuous history. How did that come to be, and what did it mean when it said that the only way to kill it is with the Lambrys and Molnia? What is Molnia?"

Connor chuckled over his bowl of soup as he dunked a piece of bread into the broth and took a bite. Elizabeth refused to let him irritate her though and continued to wait for his answer. He cut his eyes to ogle her, admiring her long thick legs and the chiton that barely hid the rest of her from his eyes. He was munching on the heel of the bread when he finally raised his gaze up to hers and answered, "Have you ever heard of the story of Pandora?"

Elizabeth could remember the general primus of it, and answered, "She opened a box given to her by the god Zeus. Upon opening the box all the evils of men were unleashed on the world…"

"A cute story," Connor chuckled as he shook his head, "But just that, a story. The real story is that a god in man's form took many wives for himself. However, he had made a grievous error and killed his first love, and was subsequently cursed by his second wife. Many years later he had managed to purge the curse by tricking another woman into taking it from him with a promise of immortality. However, as soon as she took the curse unto herself, he killed her and sealed her remains in a box. Fearful that someone may stumble upon the box and open it, and not know if the curse would be released again to find him and overtake him, he hid the box among his most prized possessions. Many years later he had all but forgotten about the box when he fell in love with another beautiful maiden. Her name was Pandora. He married her and soon she was pregnant. They had a beautiful daughter that they named Pyrun. Shortly after her birth Pandora discovered a room within her husband's house she had never seen before. It held many things of fascination, treasures of gold and silver, and items of magical and technological wonder. Then in a far corner she found a box strange in its shape like that of a coffin. Curious, she opened it and scarcely had time to scream before the black shadow of the cursed wolf swallowed her whole before running away into the night…"

"So that is why you and the wolf are enemies," Elizabeth asked, "It killed your wife?"

"More or less," Connor answered with a shake of his head, "It is a story from well before my time. However, the wolf did kill my wife as you said."

"Then what happened to Pyrun," Ailsa asked.

"What happened to her indeed," Connor mumbled as he scratched his beard, "After the wolf killed Pandora the god and his daughter Pyrun devoted their lives to tracking down and killing the wolf. To that end they made three devastating weapons 'Lambrys the Storm Cleaver', 'Molnia the Foe Hammer', and 'Gurdrnaer the God Slayer '. The battle axe, the war hammer, and the spear. To his daughter, Pyrun, the god gave 'Molnia the Foe Hammer' while he himself kept 'Lambrys the Storm Cleaver'. As for Gurdrnaer, the weapon was so powerful that he summoned the crow-harpy witches Huyen and Muyen and tasked them with hiding the weapon where only those possessing Molnia and Lambrys could find it. Years later, a man, an enemy, determined to marry Pyrun stole 'Molnia the Foe Hammer' and used it as ransom for her hand in marriage. It was during this time when she was traveling through the forest on her way to marry the man that the wolf appeared along the road and ravaged her! It took first her virginity, and then her life when it swallowed her whole just as it had her mother so many years before. Fearing for his life the man cast 'Molnia the Foe Hammer' out of his kingdom with all of his might and where it landed no one knew for many years."

"So Molnia is lost," Lachlan asked.

Connor shook his head no, "Like most things lost, it was found by the most unlikely of persons. A witch named Medousa. A cursed beauty. So beautiful and yet so arrogant that she accepted a god's advances and was cursed by her rival. For her arrogance she was cursed; her beautiful face was contorted by a fearsome expression, her golden hair became vipers, and she was made to crawl upon the ground like a snake. To make sure that no one would ever be able to fall in love with her ever again, her eyes were taken from her and replaced with those of a basilisk, and from that day forward any man that met her gaze was turned to stone."

"Great," Blair said sarcastically, "All we want to do is get to uncle Gabriel's house and we are almost eaten by a tree, and then wolves, and now we have to confront Medusa to recover a weapon that may or may not help us kill the wolf!"

Everyone was nodding in agreement with Blair when Elizabeth asked, "So where is Medusa, or how do we find her?"

"Medusa is dead," Connor answered, "Killed by Perseus for her head."

"So where is Molnia then," Ailsa asked.

"Perseus never searched Medusa's home for the treasury," Connor answered with a chuckle as he shook his head, "The Demi-god took Medusa's head and Athena's shield but that was all. Molnia is still there somewhere deep within the caves within her lair. However, I went there once to find and reclaim Molnia and there was something there. A guardian. It was said that Medusa upon her death gave birth to a son and Pegasus, but whatever this was, it was a woman in body and form much like Medusa…"

"Brilliant," Lachlan growled.

"So where is this home of Medusa," Elizabeth asked.

"Far to the south and east," Connor answered, "You will find the ocean and an island named Sarpedon. Upon this island are the ruins of a once great city, and beneath them Medusa's Lair."

Looking around at his audience, Connor sighed and shook his head, "It has been a long day and I am tired. Elizabeth, you and the girls may use the room while Lachlan and I sleep out here on the floor."

It was true, it had been a very long day and Elizabeth found that she was exhausted once Connor pointed it out. Nodding her head she stood up, "Thank you for the stories Connor. It is indeed late."

Looking at the girls she pointed to the room, "Let's go get you two settled."

She followed them into the room and closed the door behind them. Turning she tossed two more travelers bags at them and whispered, "I want you both to go through the clothes again and pack anything that fits you."

"Okay," Blair answered.

Ailsa however looked at her quizzically and asked, "What's going on?"

Elizabeth looked back at the door before she answered, "The story Connor told us. It seems weird. Just as Lachlan mentioned earlier. I don't think they are stories. I think they are his life..."

"But those things he said," Ailsa interrupted, "They happened long before the time that 'Red Riding Hood' supposedly took place. He even said so."

"He kept calling the man a god, remember," Blair said as she looked through the wardrobe and pulled out dresses and pushed them into her bag, "If that is the case then he is immortal."

"It also means that he killed his first wife and was cursed by his second," Elizabeth hissed, "He then got another woman to take his curse and then killed her…"

"Wouldn't that mean that the wolf is Pandora," Ailsa asked with a confused shake of her head.

"Possibly," Elizabeth replied, "I don't know. There are the silver and golden wolves as well, and we have no idea who they might be. Either way, I am not leaving any of you alone with that man in this house. I am going to go out there and sleep with Lachlan, and I want you two to lock this door behind me!"

"Yes ma'am," They both answered in unison.

"I will be right outside if you need anything," She reassured them with a nod and a smile. They returned nervous smiles and nods and finished their packing before disrobing and slipping beneath the coverlets to try and sleep.

Elizabeth opened the door and heard Ailsa hop back out of bed and lock the door behind her. Connor was sitting in his chair, and laying on the floor on the far side of the fireplace was Lachlan.

Connor looked up and around to watch her as she approached. She caught him ogling her quite obviously and looked down to see that the sheer chiton had become nearly transparent in the light of the fireplace!

'Had she been this naked the whole time?'

'No one said a thing!'

Her confidence was shattered. She paused in her approach and didn't know if she should try to act nonchalant or go run and hide!

Closing her eyes she hissed a curse before opening them and continuing on. Sitting in a second chair in front of the fireplace between Lachlan and Connor. Once he looked up from her breasts to her eyes she greeted him sarcastically, "It appeared more opaque in the bedroom. It's transparency is not an offer, and it isn't an invitation."

Connor's eyes seemed to glint with lust for a moment and then he smiled and looked away, "I understand… It's just… That was my wife's chiton… Something she wore for me. It was very… intimate, and well… you are very beautiful."

Despite herself she felt her cheeks warm with a blush as she played with her hair. Stealing herself, she tried to not smirk at the compliment, "I am sorry if I overstepped your generosity."

"No," He answered with a shake of his head, "You didn't. I offered whatever you could find in the room that would fit you. You are more than welcome to take it, wear it, and keep it. I have no use for her things any longer…"

"Thank you," She replied with a nod of her head. Looking over at Lachlan to see if he was asleep, she turned back to Connor and asked, "Connor, I am sure you know that I figured out that you are that god from your stories. You had everything. What happened to you?"

Connor chuckled and scratched at his beard as he looked into the fire and took a few minutes before answering, "Celestial beings are a strange lot. Mankind calls them gods, but like mankind they were created by the One, the creator of all things. Also like mankind these gods have the capacity to be either arrogant or humble, and to love or hate. I, like many others, saw the gifts the One gave to mankind, and in my arrogance forsook my station and took what I wanted. I was selfish to the point of obsession. Only after I destroyed everything that I loved did I realize what I had done, what I had become, but by then it was too late. For many centuries I wandered the earth alone, and then I met Pandora. For the first time in my life I truly loved someone more than myself, and as my reward she gave me a daughter and the hope that I could be redeemed. However, no one escapes the consequences of their misdeeds, and I was no different. Pandora, and later Pyrran paid that price with their lives, and to this very day I am forever pursued and haunted by that cursed wolf!"

"But Connor," Elizabeth whispered as she shook her head and leaned forward so that his eyes met hers, "Don't you see? You are the wolf! Yes, maybe you did somehow exorcise it to that poor girl you deceived, but in the end it is you… And this conflict… it will never end until you confront your own worst nature!"

"What you say is true," He replied as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees and hid his face in his hands, "However I fear it is too late… for me… for my wife… for my beloved daughter…"

Standing up, she walked over and put a hand on his shoulder and patted his back. His self recrimination descended to weeping at her touch, and before she knew it he reached out and wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her around between his knees as he buried his face in her belly and shook as he cried for his wife and daughter.

This was not what she had wanted!

She wanted to pull away, but having just lost Craig and Elsbeth she understood Connor's distress. Despite her reservations she found herself placing her hands on his head and patting him at first… before combing her fingers through his dark cherry red hair… then massaging the back of his neck and shoulders…

Connor's arms tightened around her waist, pulling her in tighter as he grabbed handfuls of her chiton. He pressed his face into her soft belly, and she could feel his tears and drool soaking the fabric, rendering it transparent. As he sobbed, and hissed, and shook in her arms, below her voluminous breasts, she tightened her arms around his head and hugged him tighter and tighter.

Tears rolled silently down her cheeks to her chin and fell into his hair as she stood there for a long time and comforted him. The fire burned down, a quiet hum of sleep came from Lachlan, and the back room with the girls was dark and quiet. Everything in her body and in her head told her she was headed for trouble, but as the irises of her bright blue eyes grew until the whites were all but gone and changed so that her pupils were slitted, her vision sharpened until she could see the faintest change in how the light played in Connor's hair. Her sense of smell became so sensitive that she could detect a strangely sweet scent wafting off of him reminiscent of honeysuckle. Taking a deep inhalation, she released a sigh of contentment.

Warmth bloomed and pulsed in her lower belly in response to his touch and scent. Her skin became sensitive and every caress of the sheer fabric of the chiton nearly rolled her eyes up into her eyelids as thrills of tingles danced across and through her body. Drool collected at the corners of her mouth, and the heat in her belly moved down into her crotch. She shifted her weight and could feel the glide of the lips of her femininity against each other as her own womanly nectar lubricated her in preparation for mating, producing the scent of her arousal.

Connor calmed, and she could feel his nostrils flare as he inhaled her musk. The agonized grip he had on her chiton changed, and the strength of his hug loosened as his grief subsided. Instead of pushing his head into her belly, he tilted his head up and pressed his nose and mouth into her. His arms relaxed as he moved his hands down the curve of the small of her back and over the opulent curves of her thickly muscled buttocks.

Elizabeth knew she should stop. She should protest. She should step away. Instead, her fingers tightened in Connor's hair and she raked her nails across his back and shoulders as she sighed sultrily.

Connor took her sighs as affirmation and slid his hands down further, cupping the undersides of her splendidly sumptuous bottom before reaching the backs of her thighs, and then reversed and returned to her behind with his hands beneath her chiton. She moaned as his caress sent pleasure and need arcing across her skin and deep into the core of her womb like electricity jumping spider-webbing across her body.

Heatwaves flared out of her mouth as she exhaled wantonly beneath the tender caress of his touch. Her wings shivered, and her tail whipped and wagged until it wrapped around his forearm and pulled at him to reach for more of her ass.

Connor pulled away only enough to look up at her glowing vibrant eyes and smile before moving to kiss his way up her breast until he latched onto a thick rosy-brown nipple through her chiton and sucked and nibbled.

She gasped and then sighed as her hands pulled his hair and head more firmly into her breasts. Her weight shifted and she extended her wings for balance as she moved to straddle Connor's lap and sit.

He smiled as he lifted his head from her breasts and pressed his mouth against hers. She folded her wing-arms but extended her fingers so that most of her body was hidden from Lachlan should he awaken, and then in a frenzy she pulled at Connor's shirt and the belt of his pants. He chuckled as he pulled her in closer by her ass just as she managed to push his pants down and free his manhood from its confinement.

Her sharp dragon-esk eyes saw every inch of his organ and her nostrils flared with the heat of her mating lust. With a breathy sigh she lifted herself up and positioned herself over Connor before relaxing her thighs and allowing him to penetrate her until she came to rest on his lap.

"What have you done to me," She moaned sensually as alarm gongs clanged in her head.

"It's a gift of the gods," He whispered between kisses between her tusks, "When I become aroused, then all the one I want must do is smell my pheromones, and then she too must breed before her need drives her mad..."

Despite all the warnings, she kissed him and began rocking her hips, moving him inside her so pleasurably that her belly felt like it was on fire!

Her abdomen and then her chest and breasts began to glow. She exhaled scalding hot air that rippled through the room as her momentum increased.

Connor moved one hand to Elizabeth's breasts but kept the other on her hip and ass, and he bit and nibbled one nipple while pinching and twisting the other. All the while he guided and slowed down the frantic speed of her desire.

Elizabeth ran her hand across Connor's shoulders, up his neck, and through his hair. She moved from him to rubbing her hands across her breasts and down her belly. When her climax overtook her she inhaled as her eyes rolled up and closed, and she internalized all of the pleasure bursting inside her as her body slammed down on him as every muscle cramped until she couldn't hold her breath any longer.
