When the man finished playing, Meng Qian felt lonely and wanted the other to play more for him. That's why he had spent part of the night listening to this performance and looking for more about the mysterious pianist in search of more brilliant performances.
"This is my older brother," Young Master Wu said calmly, but he looked a little different, but Meng Qian didn't see the young master's change in attitude.
He was so enchanted by the pianist that everything around him seemed to have paled. Meng Qian didn't realize that he had become a little too obsessive, but young master Wu noticed the other party's change in attitude and felt miserable.
"Is he a professional pianist? Why have I never heard of him? Shouldn't he be famous at that level?" Meng Qian who was still immersed in the interpretation of the play by the younger master's older brother didn't realize how tense the young master Wu was.
"He is not a professional pianist. This was a video I asked him to play for me. At the time he was going to travel and spend a lot of time away, so I asked him for it. Uncle Ya shouldn't have put it on the swipe card," young master Wu said defensively. Young master Wu quickly tried to erase the video, but Meng Qian was quicker and pulled out the swipe card.
This created tension between the two men who faced each other in silence for what felt like a long time. Finally, Meng Qian realized that there was something wrong with young master Wu, he didn't look like the kind young man anymore, he had a hurt look and he looked anguished.
In the end, young master Wu took a few deep breaths and stood up, he seemed to be in an internal conflict, Meng Qian moved a little farther away from him fearing that the other would take the magnetic card from his hands. In the end, Young Master Wu took the holographic device and returned to the room, slamming the door shut. Young Master Wu's temperament was different from his polite and gentle demeanor.
"Don't worry too much about the young master's behavior. He just misses Master Huo, the two haven't seen each other for many months. They quarreled before the young master moved. The young master is very attached to his older brother and is a little jealous of sharing the precious videos with others," Uncle Ya said when he saw how young master Wu closed himself in the room.
Normally, young master Wu has a good temper and was even easily fooled by a pretty smile and good words. However, when it came to his older brother there was a sense of rivalry and love that made young master Wu finally show his childish behavior that a teenager should show at one time or another.
Meng Qian felt guilty and felt strange because he was the one who was acting out of proportion, if the video was something homemade and belongs to young master Wu, what right did a stranger have to take this beautiful gift?
However, Meng Qian also didn't want to give up on Wu Huo's beautiful performance, so he could only squeeze the swipe card in his hands and remain silent.
The day went by very quickly, Meng Qian felt uncomfortable being exposed in the room after fighting with young master Wu, so he went to his room to try to sleep, after two hours of diligently training the same piece, unfortunately, his mind wandered between Master Huo's performance and young Master Wu's strange attitude, so he chose to finish the rehearsal as his mind began to wander too much hindering his piano practice.
Luckily he was very tired and didn't have time to feel sorry or distressed about a possible dismissal, he slept fast and soundly. When he woke up it was time for dinner, he got up and went to clean up to eat something, he was still kind of sleepy when he left the room.
However, he was quickly awakened by hearing a beautiful performance by Pathétique, he quickly advanced into the room. Meng Qian thought that Master Huo had come to visit his younger brother and was now playing this piece for young Master Wu.
Meng Qian was surprised to see young master Wu sitting at the piano playing so beautifully, the side view of his face was very handsome and the eyes seemed to be hazy, lost as if he had entered a world apart.
With every step Meng Qian took, he immersed himself in the interpretation of Pathétique that Wu Liang was playing. The dark world was quite heavy and suffocating, that was the first movement of the song. It was like entering a dark and sad place, with every step Meng Qian felt lost and tired, mainly, it invoked memories of his past.
Quickly, Meng Qian forced himself to suppress these painful parts of his memories, he just stuck to the notes and looked at the figure of young master Wu.
Meng Qian sat on the couch silently, young master Wu did not notice that Meng Qian was in the room. The atmosphere was suffocating to the point where he needed to breathe faster as if he were panicked and scared. That kind of feeling was too strong and he couldn't escape.
He was irrevocably caught up in the melody of young master Wu. The second movement was much warmer and more vibrant than the first movement as if someone had found success or overcome great danger. However, there was still a bit of sadness amidst all the happy notes that played and sparkled in the environment. As if the pianist knew that something very sad was coming and it was inevitable.
Yu Liang's mind was thinking of the last world, he was thinking of his lover, the holy knight Elish. The first move he put in the feelings of the unknown upon entering the systems world and the first failure, the dark vision that he would never finish his missions and be trapped in the system's worlds forever.
The second movement was for the feeling of finally being able to become the best in the world of the system and the peak of happiness was the good days he spent with Elish and his friends. Yu Liang never allowed himself to fall in love, he could have several lovers, but none of them touched his heart as Elish did.
The third movement was even happier than the second as if the pianist had finally found his place to rest and celebrate with those he loved. However, there was still a tension of an inevitable and very sad fate ahead.
Yu Liang put the feelings he had when realizing that he loved Elish, but had to go on with the missions and hurt the person he had truly loved for many years. He lived that happiness with everything he had, but he knew he would have to hurt everyone and be a traitor. This was happiness haunted by the cruel fate of war and betrayal.
So the fourth and final move was so dark and suffocating that the first move felt light in comparison. The sadness seemed endless and the grief was too heavy, the end was a complete tragedy. So Pathétique was the prelude to a predestined tragedy, something inescapable.
Happiness was something very fragile and that fate could throw happiness away, everything being inevitable and inescapable, as well as death itself.
Yu Liang put down all the feelings of pain and sadness when he let Elish kill him and die in front of his best friend Olline, the green dragon. He knew he was going to hurt Elish even more, but he had a mission to fulfill.
He didn't even know why he was struggling so hard to get the means to get back to the main world. There was just a heavy feeling in his mind that put urgency and didn't make him give up to live in one of the worlds of the world system.
Finally, young master Wu finished playing. Young Master Wu's gaze was still unfocused, but a few tears streamed down his face. He took a deep breath and held back the feelings again, he kept the love for Elish in the back of his mind, and there he would leave because he couldn't ever go back to Elish again.
Meng Qian was also thrilled with tears in his eyes, soon he hadn't cried since the last time he was punished harshly at the orphanage, when he was kneeling in the corn kernels after being hit with his belt, for something he hadn't done.
He himself didn't understand how he could get so emotional, it was as if the music resonated perfectly in his soul-awakening a strange feeling of sadness and hope inside him, but when he wanted to analyze these emotions, they seemed to escape like smoke between his fingers.
Wu Huo's interpretation could not be compared to the young master Wu's interpretation. Wu Huo played very well and it was beautiful, but this load of emotion that young master Wu's notes engulfed the listener into a world of their own, there was no comparison.
At least not for Meng Qian who was deeply touched. Wu Huo was already a distant thought and of little importance to the protagonist at this point.
