Jupiter's POV
Its now 2 months since I started working at the pack house and I'm now used to the place although the new alpha is a pervert, that's not something I can't handle.
This week we are to be expecting guests from Blackmoon pack and Crimson pack so the pack house, surrounding and guest rooms had to be cleaned to perfection.
"Make sure alpha Cain's room is perfect for when he arrives Jupiter" Uma the head maid instructed
"yes Ms Uma" I nodded rushing to the supply closet and getting all the things I would need before dashing off. That day I spent most of my time cleaning and dusting the alphas room.
"oops you missed a spot" Tamara mocked after messing up the floor with her mud clad boots. I glared daggers at her feeling like I could get the same boots and shove them down her throat, I had been scrubbing the living room floor for almost 2 hours as it was too huge and here she was messing it up in a heartbeat.
"Tamara!" I heard the grand Luna scold from the top of the staircase.
"Aunty" she beamed about to run and hug her but she was stopped
"you just messed up the floor that took your friend-"
"she's not my friend"
"OK whatever, it took her ages to make it clean"
"I'm sorry, I didn't see that she had cleaned it and if I'm being honest it doesn't look cleaned."
"I apologize" Luna sighed looking at me apologetically
"why are you apologizing aunty, it's her job to clean, now let's leave her to it, come on maid make this floor spotless" Tamara ordered dragging the Luna away.
"And to think you once considerable her your friend" Candice huffed under her breathe appearing out of no where.
"what are you doing here?" I asked wanting to change the topic.
So here's the thing, Tamara and I used to be close friends but all that changed 4 years ago when she found out her crush liked me, she claims he had liked her too until I seduced him just like I seduced every guy in our class which of course wasn't true, I would have never done that to her but she thinks I did and I'm tired of making her think otherwise so she's made it her mission to make my life hell.
"well since I'm on my school break, I'll be helping you with your work here." she smiled
"that's not necessary"
"it's inevitable big sis" she grabbed a rag
"Candice-"
"I said it's inevitable now let's clean this mess"
"thanks" I smiled as we cleaned the mess and the remaining floors.

"the alphas are about to arrive, is everything ready?" alpha Oswald asked
"yes alpha" we all responded
"great" he nodded.
So today the alphas and betas from Crimson pack and blackmoon pack where arriving and all the helps were to be at their disposal.
"you can rest, I've got it" Candice grabbed the broom from me.
"Candy" I scolded trying to get it back
"you need to rest too Ju, you've been working since morning, go read a book or something, I'll finish up" she explained
"I totally agree with Candy" Marsha agreed "you need to rest"
"I don't." I scoffed
"yes you do, look at you, you've got bags under your eyes, you need to rest, go" she scolded pushing me towards the hallway.
"don't mess anything up" I urged
"don't worry, I've got this under control" Marsha smirked. Giving them one last warning glare so they wouldn't make any mistakes, I retreated to the library and got the book I was reading for the week and before I knew it I was out like a light, guess I was tired after all. The guests had been here for 2 days now and we had been working non stop so its normal for me to be tired right.
"Leave me alone Mars" I groaned covering my face with my book when someone I believed was Marsha slightly shook me.
"Mars I swear if I open my eyes I'll murder you with my book." I groaned hitting her with the book while trying to get back to sleep.
"I'm pretty sure it would take more than a book to murder me" a baritone masculine voice chuckled immediately pulling me out of my drowsy state. I opened my eyes only to find a tall well built man smiling at me amusement evident in his ebony eyes.
"oh my goodness, I'm so sorry." I gasped getting up from my seat and slightly bowing my head. "I'm so sorry" judging by his face which I hadn't see around here before and powerful era, I figured he had to be one of the guests, a high ranked one at that.
"it's alright" he chuckled again "but a library is no place for a lady to fall asleep"
"sorry, I was just a little tired." I let that escape and I immediately covered my mouth.
"understandable" he gave a slight nod. "great expectations Charles Dickens" he read my book title out loud. "fan of classic novels I see"
I just nodded in response.
"are you the librarian?" he asked after a pregnant silence.
"no but I know where every book is" I responded quickly.
"great, I need a book that I can't seem to find" he said looking around and I gasped my eyes almost falling out of my sockets.
"how long have you been in here?"
"long enough to know you are a very quiet sleeper and I can't find my book." he shrugged "30 minutes"
"what book are you looking for?" I asked wanting to either change the topic or disappear.
"the historical treaty journal"
"what year?"
"I don't know, what years are there?"
"1714, 1828, 1878 and 1963" I said
"how do you know?"
"I read them once" I shrugged
"at school?"
"no for fun" I smiled and he looked at me like I had 2 heads
"what" I huffed
"you read historical journals for fun, who are you"
"a person" I moved to the area where all historical journals were kept and he followed behind. I pulled out all the journals he asked and gave them to him.
"you should be a librarian considering your talent." he complimented
"thank you" I smiled at him.
"Nolan"
"huh" I looked at him confused
"I'm Nolan, that's my name, third in command to Crimson pack."
"oh...." I sucked in a breathe stepping back, people from Crimson pack had been known for how they would kill their enemies with just a snap of a finger not even thinking twice about it.
"relax I won't hurt you" he chuckled making me feel stupid, why was I moving back, I had been with this stranger for some time now and he hadn't tried to kill me besides I did nothing wrong but then again werewolves are unpredictable beings.
"what's your name?" he asked
"there you are!" Candice came running into the library panicked.
"bye" Nolan bid and left but not after giving Candice a weird look.
"what's wrong with you?" I asked trying to calm her down.
"I found him" she breathed out, if I was just a normal human being I wouldn't have heard her but thanks to my enhanced hearing.
"who him?"
"him, him"
"Candy speak a language I'll understand, you know I don't understand crazy" I joked but she didn't laugh, she was so serious and panicked causing me to worry about who 'he' would be.
"my mate" she let out "I found my mate Ju."
"that's-" I paused trying to figure out what to say, don't get me wrong, I was happy for my little sister but her finding her mate meant that she was going to leave this pack, leave me. "that's... that's amazing" I finally let out.
"it's both good and bad Ju, on one hand I wanna get away from that wicked Sarah but I can't leave you alone." she sobbed out.
"let's not think of that right now, so tell me about him." I cheered trying my best to be positive.
"well he's an beta of Blackmoon pack"
"no way you lucky goose, you got a beta for a mate." I beamed
"yeah and he's very handsome"
"obviously, most beta males are handsome or love is blind" I joked making her laugh and poke me.
"guess who found her mate" Marsha screamed walking into the library. "that's right, this gal" she pointed a finger at herself.
"no!" I screamed happily
"yes!" she screamed and we hugged each other jumping. "finally."
"I know" I smiled "I can't believe it, my best friend and little sister just found their mates."
"Candy found her mate too?" Marsha gasped
"yep" Candice nodded
"his a beta" I told her
"no way, mine is an alpha."
"that's great" I forced a smile.
"Ju" they both sighed and hugged me. I can't believe it, I'm loosing my sister and best friend together. I was happy for them but the thought of being all alone was overpowering the happiness.

I spent the next 3 day in the library if I wasn't working and trying my best to avoid both Candice and Marsha, seeing them only reminded me of how alone I was.
"Jupiter, alpha Oswald is requesting you presence in the study." Uma told me
"I'm coming." I said still trying to scrub off a stubborn stain on the floor.
"leave it, someone else will do it, go to alpha" she ordered
"OK" I got up fixed my uniform and hair before going to the study. As I made my way to the study my wolf began leaping for joy for heaven knows what cause as far as I was concerned I had been feeling miserable and alone.
I tapped lightly on the big oak door leading to a room filled with powerful men.
"come in" I heard alpha Oswald's voice speak.
Taking a deep breathe I turned the door knob and opened the door only to be hit by a mouth watering scent of pine and mint, it smelt so good I closed my eyes and inhaled it but all that was short lived when I heard one word.
