Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 You're in Trouble (Part 2)

Wu Li looked around at the people approaching him, either trainees or coaches from the club, all possessing combat abilities far stronger than those of an average person.

Pondering in silence, Wu Li realized that unless he used his Master Level Experience Card right now, elevating his Piercing Kick temporarily to Master Level, combined with the enhancements of his Master Level Xingyi Fist and Iron Body, there was no way he could leave today—after all, going against multiple opponents was an entirely different scenario than a one-on-one.

Gazing at Ren Donglai in front of him, a dangerous glint flickered in Wu Li's eyes.

"Fine, I'll delete it!" suddenly announced Li Ruqi from beside him.

Wu Li turned towards her, surprised, "You?"

Li Ruqi shook her head at Wu Li, offering no explanation, believing that a wise man doesn't seek trouble head-on. If a conflict broke out now, no matter how capable Wu Li was in fighting, how many could he take down in an instant? And what about her safety?

Hence, she decided to endure it for the moment and wait until they returned, by which time there would surely be ways to deal with these people!

Thus, Li Ruqi opened her phone right in front of Jia Li and deleted the video she had taken earlier.

"Wait a moment." Unexpectedly, Jia Li spoke again, "I want to check it to make sure nothing was missed."

"You!" Li Ruqi was so angry that her eyes reddened.

Hearing this, a fierce look flashed across Wu Li's eyes as he stepped forward, shielding Li Ruqi, and said slowly to Jia Li, "I advise you not to push your luck."

Jia Li scoffed, "And what if I do?"

Wu Li moved closer to this woman, "There may be more of you, but I am closer to you now. Guess who would fall first?"

Jia Li's complexion changed as she didn't expect this young man to be so bold, threatening her in front of so many.

As she stared into Wu Li's eyes, she couldn't tell whether he was bluffing or not, but she dared not take the gamble.

Jia Li's demeanor weakened, she opened her mouth but ultimately didn't dare to continue her threats.

Seeing Jia Li fall silent, Li Ruqi quietly put away her phone and looked at Wu Li, who was standing protectively in front of her, and gently bit her lip.

"It's okay." Ren Donglai, noticing Wu Li's tense demeanor and knowing he was on the verge of exploding, didn't wish to escalate the situation further, so he stopped Jia Li and waved his hand, "Let them go."

"Let's go." Wu Li took Li Ruqi's hand and led her out of the boxing club.

...

"I didn't expect them to be so shameless," Wu Li said to Li Ruqi outside the club.

"Huh?" It was only then that Li Ruqi realized that she had just been led out by Wu Li, her cheeks reddening slightly. Seeing Wu Li acting as if nothing had happened, she grew a bit angry.

"I'm so angry! Don't worry, I will definitely report on this incident!"

"That's exactly what I was waiting to hear," Wu Li nodded.

"What did you say?" Li Ruqi raised her brows, looking at Wu Li with dissatisfaction.

"I mean, reporting on such ugly behavior as a journalist to let everyone know is truly a beneficial act for the people," Wu Li stated earnestly.

"Hmph!" Li Ruqi snorted.

...

Inside Eastward Boxing Club, Manager Zhang called everyone to disperse and then gathered Ren Donglai and Jia Li to one side.

"Bring up the video of that university student's match," Manager Zhang said.

The club was equipped with surveillance that could replay earlier fights.

The person in charge of the surveillance equipment pulled up the footage of Wu Li's match, and Manager Zhang, Ren Donglai, and Jia Li all watched the screen intently.

When they saw Wu Li knock down Gao Bo with a single kick, Ren Donglai was surprised, and his expression grew solemn when he saw Wu Li consecutively knocking down Zhao Bo.

"How about it, Dong Lai, do you think you can beat him?"

After watching the video, Manager Zhang asked Ren Donglai.

Ren Donglai hesitated for a moment, then said bitterly, "I'm not very confident."

"Then don't fight him!" Jia Li said decisively.

Ren Donglai forced a bitter smile, "They are already attacking, how can we possibly escape? All he needs to do is promote today's events on Mo Yin, and public opinion will be biased towards him."

"The video of him challenging our club was already deleted, without evidence, let him say whatever he wants," Jia Li said with a cold laugh.

"That's not the only way to play this. We can also talk it up a bit. It's not necessarily a bad thing," Manager Zhang said smilingly.

"But it's not a solution to keep dragging this out," Ren Donglai said.

Jia Li glared at him, "So what do you suggest, have a fiery battle with him and then lose? Do you realize the consequences of losing to him? Not to mention your fans won't support you, even this boxing club might not survive!"

Being scolded by his wife in front of others embarrassed Ren Donglai, who was about to retort when Manager Zhang quickly interceded, "Let's not fight. When we signed Dong Lai, we anticipated situations like this today. Don't worry, not everything has to be resolved through fighting."

Hearing this, Jia Li's eyes lit up, "Brother Zhang, do you really have a way to get through this?"

"I have a plan," Manager Zhang confidently replied, "There are no permanent enemies, just permanent interests. I'll talk to that college student."

"Thank you so much, Brother Zhang," Jia Li said with a beaming smile and a gentle tone.

Ren Donglai frowned, sensing something off in the tone and demeanor between his wife and Manager Zhang...

That evening at 7 PM, Li Ruqi finished writing a press release and sent it directly to her editor.

Soon after, she received a call from her editor.

"Ruqi, aren't you supposed to be touring Qi City? How's it going?" the editor asked in a gentle voice.

"Don't even mention it, you saw what I wrote, didn't you? I was infuriated this afternoon!" Li Ruqi fumed.

"I did see it, but Ruqi, your article is very biased. As journalists, we should strive to be more objective."

"They were so outrageous, how can I not report it as it is? I don't care, Uncle Wang, this article has to be published tomorrow!" Li Ruqi insisted displeased.

"Alright, alright, it will be published."

Wang Li hung up the phone with a sigh, then made another call.

"Hello, Brother Wang, any instructions?"

"Manager Zhang, there is an article about how a group of people from Eastward Boxing Club forced a young girl to delete video footage from her phone this afternoon."

There was a moment of silence on the other end, "Brother Wang, how did this get to you?"

"Humph! Not only did it get to me, but we'll also be publishing this news article tomorrow."

"No, no, no, please don't!" Manager Zhang's tone became anxious.

"Brother Wang, you know Ren Donglai is a key figure we're grooming. It's best to avoid any negative news about him. Brother Wang, we've been friends for so many years, you have to help me out somehow."

"Brother Zhang, I'm telling you the truth, I really can't help you with this."

"What exactly happened?"

Wang Li sighed, "The girl who recorded the video this afternoon, her father is the boss of my boss."

"…"

"How did you guys even upset this madam?"

"…"

After a pause, Manager Zhang asked hoarsely, "Brother Wang, are you sure there's nothing that can be done?"

"There's nothing I can do. You might want to ask Director Lin if he has any solutions."

"…"

"Ah, you've really gotten yourself into trouble."

At 9 PM that same night, Wu Li initiated a live stream from his hotel, sharing his experiences of the day.
