Zhao Jing had mentioned earlier that beneath Heavenly Prison lay the sealed land of one hundred thousand resentful spirits.
The linchpin to set it in motion was this statue of Impermanence.
Had it not been for Zhao Jing's explanation, Zhao Feng would not have known that the statue, the embodiment of holy and demonic, was called Impermanence. According to Zhao Jing, Impermanence was one of the rulers of the Netherworld Realm, controlling the passage between Netherworld and Mortal Realm. Therefore, using the statue of Impermanence to suppress those lost souls was most apt.
Clearly, this was also a royal secret.
The Imperial Family held many divine names unknown to the public, as well as methods for their worship, but not all deities were benevolent.
Take this Impermanence, for example; just by looking at the statue, one could feel an evil nature emanating from it.
