"Go around?" Lord Glade asked hotly, "but the maps show a large goblin colony to the South and to the North is the Karnastian Ruins. South of the goblin colony is farmland and North of the ruins are cliffs. How on earth can we go around?" Lady Brook trembled beside her brother. She had not been well since we started moving. She was obviously terrified.
"The maps may be outdated." The Archivist replied. I watched his eyes rove over Lady Brook and then me.
"B-b-but we w-won't go South, right?" Lady Brook asked her voice shaking. Everyone knew what goblins did to females. I swallowed hard. I'd fight to the death to prevent myself from being captured.
The Archivist looked at me again.
"Sir, someone had to have made that trap. It didn't look like goblin work. Maybe they are intelligent and friendly?" I said in confusion. "We should at least find out."
