"-or Mate, everyone told you not to run." I heard Lord Alecai drawl from above me. I felt my body being rearranged on the carriage seat.
I couldn't do anything though; it was as if my limbs were attached to anchors. I concentrated with all my might to open my eyes as fear swamped my mind.
A feeling of feathers running over the skin of my legs told me my lace overdress was being pushed up.
"Remind me to thank Viv for this dress. I love it." Lord Alecai growled as his hands slid higher up my thighs. "I never would have thought of white. Normally, I find it garish and unendearingly virginal, but seeing you in it, is driving me wild." I felt Lord Alecai's warm, soft hands reach my waist and slowly slide back down to my hips, unencumbered by my dress.
My eyes flew open in shock. I was once more confronted with the fact that I couldn't move. My limbs were so heavy, I might as well have been a shop mannequin with a brain.
