"Aren't you excited?" asked Lisa as she dressed her mistress, referring to the princess's upcoming nuptials.
Alexandra sighed. "All I know about Vladimir is that his kingdom has threatened war if we don't marry."
"I see." Lisa debated with herself before saying, "Swear to take me with you and I will tell you everything I know."
"Do I even have the authority to make such an oath?"
"I believe so."
"Then I swear to you that I won't leave you behind."
"Prince Vladimir is akin to a cat. Ferocious when necessary but otherwise gentle, independent but loving. He keeps his word regardless of the personal costs unwise promises may incur. Vladimir is admired for his refusal to use his status and privilege to escape personal responsibility. He has been known to vanish from sight in order to pay off debts rather than allow them to fall on the kingdom's shoulders."
"He sounds wonderful. How can I trust it?"
"Prince Vladimir is incredibly protective of his family, both those of blood and bond. In this way, he is akin to a wolf. Before building a reputation on merit, he was known for his silence and size. Rumors say he surpassed his father in height before puberty. His brother has grown to be much shorter, closer to the height of an average man, slightly less expected of a royal with such giant blood. The twins could never pass for each other but there is no mistaking they are brothers."
"Thank you for telling me this."
"Remember your oath, I doubt your husband will allow you to break such a vow."
