It was over a month before word came from Ascar. They had accepted the Empire's offer. They would arrive on the night of the next full moon. Lucy was set to meet the Ascar delegates with the Sisters of Lome at the Southern Harbour. They travelled down in anticipation of their arrival.
Once the ship locked into the dock, Lucy got the first sight of the enigmatic leader. The leader stepped off the boat and laid her cool dark eyes on Lucy. The rest of the Ascar delegate followed.
"Your Majesty," Lucy smiled, "It's good to see you again,"
"I am not a queen. You do not need to call me by any title," the leader replied.
"Then what shall I call you?" Lucy flushed.
"By my name," the leader replied indifferently.
