Everyone as a child wanted to believe that they were special and had some kind of magic ability. What if I told you that it's true, some children are born with magic flowing through their veins. These children are enrolled into a school called Woodcreek academy.
My name's Raphael and I'm going to tell you the story of a group of supernatural teens who solved a murder and saved their school.
It all started on my birthday September 13th. Unlucky for me but for everyone else lucky. This was the day my abilities Appeared. When I say abilities I mean the lowest form of what I can do now. I walked down the stairs when it happened my mom shouted on me. I saw her death two men were going to walk through the door and stab her before taking the money in the safe.
What I'm about to tell you may make you see me as a cold-hearted person,but I'm not, my mother would have told me to do the same thing. I ran to the panic room and hid, seconds later it happened my mother died.
I waited a few minutes before leaving the panic room and finding my mother on the floor dead. I started to cry when a woman walked into the room. I got up while she made the whole place look like nothing happened and sending my mothers body to the morgue.
"Hello I don't mean to be rude but who are you? " I asked her
"I'm the headmistress of Woodcreek academy. Its a school for people with supernatural abilities like yours. You see you've experienced what we call the manifestation. The time your abilities come" She told me
"Sorry but what do you mean my abilities? " I replied
"Well you see someone children are born with a supernatural gene. This gene corresponds with a supernatural being. Either a witch/warlock, angel/demon, mermaid/Siren, Vampires, Fairies and Centaurs. I believe that you're an angel. I'm sorry to tell you this but we have to go now" She explained
"Okay but I need a few things before we leave" I replied
"You won't need anything. When you enrol in woodcreek everything you need is provided to you" She informed me
I then grabbed her hand and we teleported out of my home. When we finished teleporting we landed in a meadow full of roses.
She told me that to get to the academy we had to go through the forest first. Surprisingly I liked the sound of that. It was pretty dark, cold, mysterious and some would say creepy, but for me it would become my safe haven.
An hour passed before we made it to the academy
"Woodcreek academy houses thousands of students. You will enrol in with the first year's but your classes will be with the angels. Students are taught specific classes according to their abilities. You will take all the angelic classes. If you follow me to my office I will give you your timetable." She stated in a very energetic tone
Her office was full of files, books and what looked like reports covering her walls. I walked in to see that indeed everything I need was there. My robe, books, clothes, surprisingly a phone and laptop as well as quills and parchment.
"We decided to mix modern as well as old school so you have a choice you can either use one or the other but most of our students use both. Before you go you will need your timetable, a map of the campus and your key to you cabin" She explained while handing these to me
"Headmistress I have a question what is this? " I asked while picking up a piece of paper
"Oh that's an adoption form. Everyone student here gets a pet. You can either have a phoenix, unicorn, dragon or Pegasus. The witches and warlocks are born with a familiar so they don't really need to adopt a pet. Also every supernatural student gets a human protector. They are given to students as some students find it hard to adjust to the world after Woodcreek."She informed me while handing me my adoption form back.
I then headed out of the office and made my way to my cabin. Surprisingly it was the furthest away from the school. I learnt to like this though as I meant I didn't have to deal with the popularity saving the school came with.
When I arrive I see my cabin mates, the people who eventually became my friends, all sat around the fire.
"Hi I'm cobra a demon. Over there is our one and only fairy Bella, sat to the left of Bella is our witch Wicca, to the right is our Siren and mermaid terra and pax.Our vampire and centaur, kriss and Peyton are upstairs.Last but not least our warlock Nikolas is up in the attic practising spells."Cobra said while he pointed in their directions
" Hi everyone I'm Raphael, the newbie angel. Nice to meet you all. How is the cabin this big may I ask" I enquired
"That's my doing. I kinda used an enlargement spell on the cabin. From the outside the cabin look normal but on the inside it is a four storey house."She stated while awkwardly hugging me
" Wow that's amazing and btw I'm big on hugs so thank you" I replied while hugging her back
"How many classes are you taking. I have to take 14" Cobra queried
"I have to take 16. The introductory course to my abilities and then the ethereal classes" I told him
"What no newbie has ever been assigned the ethereal classes on their first day unless they're a part of a prophecy" Cobra explained before taking me to the library
"You see Raphael. There is one prophecy about a child called Raphael who enrolled at woodcreek" Cobra informed me in excitement
"What is it?" I asked out of curiosity
"When the sun darkens Raphael,will arise from the darkness and be triumphant" He told me while looking at the others
I then got up and went to the only empty room there was to unpack my things. Surprisingly it was all ready refurbished. I put my clothes into the closet, filled out my adoption form, changed into my robes which changed colour from black and grey to white and gold. I walked down the stairs and sat by the fire.
