Chapter 136 - Chapter 135 : First name basis.

Luscious looked at Nectar who was talking with Kancor and felt slightly annoyed [ Why do I wish he was sick...just a little sick? ] He sighed as he picked his fork again, mumbling to himself " Enough to keep him in bed for a day or two ".

As if hearing him, Nectar looked at him and smiled " How can you look so upset when there are so many delicacies in front of you Luscious "? Luscious shrugged slightly, " I don't seem to have much of an appetite Nectar ".

Nectar shook her head lightly, " Sister Athena has put a lot of work into this. Tell me what it is you wish to eat and I'll do my best to have it made ". Luscious found himself smiling, " Anything I want you say "? Nectar nodded determinedly.

" There's so much good food here, be a shame if you missed out on it ". Luscious laughed, drinking his water " I wouldn't want to bother you, I'll manage ". Nectar nodded, " Alright ".

Kancor smiled as he watched Nectar speak with Luscious and again he covered his mouth. [ She used to convince kids to eat that way. Seems to be a habit ] Nectar glanced at him as she pointed to something she wanted and allowed Tera serve it.

He laughed, " Always was a foodie ". Nectar heard him and frowned, wagging her spoon at him, " No I'm not. Take that back ". Kancor smiled mischievously as he ate, " How could I possibly lie in front of so much good food? Respect the food Nectar ".

Nectar puffed her cheeks, hitting the table lightly as they laughed. Axis nodded in agreement with Kancor, looking at Nectar, " He's not wrong Nectar ". And again, Nectar glared at him and casually pointed her spoon at him " Stay out of this Axis ".

Famo sat towards the arc of the table and had a somewhat good view of the rest of it. The one that had caught his attention was Nectar who was laughing at Axis now [ She's almost the exact replica of her mother ]

The main difference between the two was, Doria was merciful and kind; Nectar was obviously not. He knew he was a terrible father, even going as far as threatening his daughter after practically disowning her.

And the look she gave him yesterday when he called her Qudi made him shudder, as if she would kill him once she got the chance. Looking at her now, he wanted to build a good relationship with her before truly leaving her to her sorry fate.

But nothing out of good will. From his observation of this trip so far, it seemed Nectar was exceptionally outgoing; the complete opposite of what he was expecting. That could mean two things [ Either the salt spell is weak or is broken....and that should be impossible ]

[ She's still useful ] and now, all he had to do was find a way to somehow manipulate her. She was having a meal with the continent's royalty and had somehow managed to put everyone at ease which was strange in itself.

During his youth, he remembered having a meal like this during their peace celebration and they were all wary and paranoid about each other. But this generation seemed to have skipped that part.

Whatever she did, it was working. Building a relationship wih over rulers to a level were first names could be used so freely without worrying about pride or status. Even children could be at the same table and not be scared silly into submission. He glanced at Nectar as he raised his fork to his mouth [ She's still useful. Very useful ]
