Chapter 124 - Chapter 123 : Good Morning.

Nectar groaned in frustration as she made a disgusted face, " What do you mean? I thought talking to you would make me feel better ". Christopher smiled innocent, " Doing good helps heal the soul ".

Nectar's disapproval didn't decrease as she glared at him, " Seriously, that's not helpful at all ". Nectar threw her head back, " I'm completely unmotivated ". Christopher just smiled patiently, waiting for her to come to a conclusion.

Nectar touched her face tiredly, " Fine, but you have to do something for me ". Christopher nodded and honestly, her terms were fine. Nectar smacked her lips, " I can't believe I just got exploited in the temple. I'm right, I don't believe it ".

Christopher nodded, " The winter this year will most likely be good to the people and I'm sure water mages and Actsonians alike will be looking forward to it ". Nectar smiled and nodded absentmindedly, " Of course, just pray I survive this one ".

Christopher laughed, " Don't worry. When you see the eclipse, you'll want to live ". Nectar shrugged still unmotivated, " Maybe, I'll take your word for it ". They ended their conversation and Nectar left, relieved and burdened as she walked.

Kancor hummed lightly to himself as he walked. Bonsi had mentioned something about a morning prayer and he'd gotten up early in accordance. Looking around him, he rubbed his neck " I should have asked how early ".

Realizing he was lost, he stopped in front of a portrait and tilted his head as he ran his hand over the cold silver frame, " That's odd, it looks like that Oddball ". He ran his hands over a name and muttered it to himself and laughed, " The love of my life is not only not from my era but is also resembles the water goddess Trewa ".

[ Is there anything that can surprise me at this point? ] There was a sort of plaque on the left bottom side of the portrait which he read out, " Trewa, second child and eldest daughter of Othorne and Nattry. Wife of Nirka and mother of Sepatina ".

Kancor looked up at the portrait, surrounded by water and sea foam as if she'd just emerged out of the water. Her hair seemed like the white foam from water around her, morphing from a blue to a foamy white.

She was staring off, or at the other side of the hall. Though she seemed so calm with a slight smile on her lips, her blue eyes didn't. Kancor jolted back when he thought the picture looked down at him.

Laughing at himself as he shook his head, he calmed down some " I'm up too early. At this rate, I'm driving myself insane ". Kancor ran his hand through his hair as he walked, no longer looking at the pictures.

" Help me protect them ", again Kancor jolted backwards and looked around him. He frowned, sure of the clear voice he'd heard but there was no one else here but him. " Though I'm also a ghost, I don't enjoy being haunted ".

August yawned as he staggered slightly, " Are we done yet "? Fauna shook her head, " The morning prayer will be done as the sun rises ". Mario frowned slightly, " Then why must I be up if it's not ".

Liam smiled, ruffling his black and white hair, " You're beginning to sound like Qidu ". Mario didn't even have enough energy to remove Liam's hand. June groaned slightly, " He's not wrong, I need a bed ".

Tera laughed, hugging herself tighter " Sounds like everyone's quoting master this morning ". Jewlica couldn't be bothered with any of this as she turned her head on Liam's shoulder. Nathaniel and Nichole leaned against each other, dozing and managing to keep each other up.

The hall was full of royals and dignitaries, all that was left was the Head priest and for the sun to finally rise. Nectar strolled in from one of the various side doors and seemed surprised she'd found the place.

She stood next to Eros wordlessly who didn't seem particular about the prayer at all. Kancor walked in from the opposite side a few minutes later. His face was flooded with relief and surprise as he walked in.

He didn't particularly care about this but he'd gotten ready for it and nearly diagnosed himself with insanity along the way here. Calmly, he stood next to Caitlin who still seemed sleepy.

On his other side, he was scolded by Bonsi " Where were you? I was beginning to worry ". Kancor sighed, " Would you believe me if I told you paintings were talking to me "?

Bonsi raised an eyebrow but before she could ask further, Christopher walked in. He was holding a long gold staff and had a small mirror in his hand. They could already see the faint orange glow ahead.

Standing on the altar, he placed the staff in the center of it and screwed the mirror on. The rising sun immediately reflected on it and on to the other mirrors in the room. This went on till the whole room seemed to be filled with light, " As morning sun rise, again a new day starts. We ask for strength, to always be wise and may ourjoy forever last ".
