None of the shadow solders were able to react in time as a swooshing sound was heard. Nectar had drawn back the bow and the water in the curved bow had morphed into an arrow.
She shot it straight at the first cage's driver, and it lodged in his neck killing him instantly. Nectar frowned to herself [ I was aiming for his temple. I've gotten rusty ] then she smiled as she targeted the next driver who was craning his neck to see why the first carriage had stopped [ Let's do some target practice, shall we? ]
Again she shot the arrow and it hit the driver in the back of his head and he fell over, out of his seat. This got the other solders attention as they moved towards his seat. Nectar made three more arrows as she aimed at their heads.
This time it made a swooshing sound as it pierced their throats and they died instantly. Nectar squinted as she saw something in the distance [ Probably some vigilante trying to find these kids ]
The others were on high alert now as they raised their crossbows at her. Nectar shot several arrows constantly at them. Though it seemed random, she kept shooting them down until there was none left.
The children were screaming now, thinking Nectar was for sure going to kill them but instead she sat cross legged on the middle carriage as if waiting for someone. They're sobbing had somewhat reduced when they realized she wasn't trying to kill them. Five minutes later, all the kids turned their heads when they heard horses.
Nectar lazily looked them up and down and sighed. The man on the horse looked familiar to her with his green curly hair and red eyes. Then two others appeared from different directions.
They all had green hair and red eyes but she could tell their ages apart. She suddenly stood on top of the carriage and stretched [ I think my work here is done ]
But instead, the three bothers unsheathed their swords and pointed it towards her. The eldest spoke coldly " It'd be best if you came with us. We have a few questions to ask you ".
Nectar sighed, she'd put up her hoodie and it overshadowed most of her face, showing only her glowing red eyes. " You guys are so mean, would you believe I was just helping "?
They're glares became sharper as Nectar used her bow but instead she shot the lock and the children ran out screaming and she giggled " I think you'll be too busy to catch me boys ". Nectar then disappeared leaving the men to deal with the children.

Nectar appeared behind the DRUNKARD'S PALACE's counter and sighed. Putting down the hoodie, she ruffled her white hair and leaped off the counter to the other side.
Nectar was a bit startled when she looked up and saw the guys with the kids and smiled [ At least they're fine ] Then the little girl suddenly leaned her weight over the upstairs railing and fell over.
Diving low, she caught the little girl who hugged her neck. Nectar laughed shaking her head [ Do I give Liam this much trouble?...But when I do, its cute ] " Glad to see your alright ".
Fisher looked down in relief at his sister and ran down the stairs. He quickly took his sister from Nectar scolding her " You have to be careful Jamie, what if she didn't catch you ".
Jamie pouted playfully, flexing her small bicep " Don't look down on me brother. I can take care of myself ". Nectar laughed as she ruffled Fisher's hair and walked back to the counter.
Wheat, Joe and Jack seemed very grateful and Nectar felt like her arm was ripped out of it's socket as Jack shook her vigorously.
He had a thankful smile on his face " How am I ever gonna repay you Red? I dunno what I'd live for without my kids ".
Nectar laughed as she patted Jack's hand which was still shaking hers " You don't have to do that Jack. I'm glad I could help ". Hammer Head Joe laughed as he patted ( more like smacked ) Nectar's back " Don't be so stiff Red. We can't repay you but at let these old geezers try "
Nectar smiled as she surveyed their now smiling faces " I guess you can give me lots and lots of wine...for a week. The good stuff though " Wheat laughed as he nodded " Of course ".
Though they weren't many customers that night, it was back to its usual loud warm self with the few people celebrating and cheering on Fisher and Jamie who were two in a few people who got reunited with their families.
