A small boy sat in front of me, a window separating our two worlds. I had found this boy years ago, watching him grow year after year, his life experiences surging together to create the art that I am seeing today. At this point in the boy's life, I saw him moving away from his inhibitions to explore the world and its wonders.
I couldn't help but recall the day I had met this child. It had been a dark and dreary night, my only illumination had been the rays of light from the moon that made it through the cloudy sky. I had traveled following a rumor that claimed an impulse of dark energy was plaguing the east.
Days of travel led me to the Castle of Long. Weary from my long journey, I had no choice but to venture into the maze-like corridors that made up the majority of the premise. After hours of navigation, I had come across a large room. The room didn't look much different from the others on the outside. But its center housed a child. I still recall the depth of his eyes as they pierced through my very being and the slight smirk that he had as he glared. His blood-red eyes were void of life, so much so that I could feel my own will to live slipping away.
Even so, I felt the need to laugh. A smile grew on my phase as I imagined the opportunity this boy was giving me. I made that castle my laboratory, and since then I have only grown my collection of the unusual. I made the boy who he is today, he... he is beautiful. His luscious long black hair, his empty eyes, even his dainty body, they all were beautiful.
I was now old and frail. my youth is gone, but the boy was vibrant, under my care he had not seemed to age in the slightest. My Excitement slowly grew through my monologue, and it reached its peak with the violent shaking of the chair. I knew he would soon speak. I sat down and prepared myself to hear more of the mysterious otherworldly devices. Things such as cars, phones, and airplanes. All these unknown things had excited me, growing my hunger for knowledge. I would never let this source of unknown knowledge leave. I could not stop smiling. Then the boy stopped talking.
