Solomon stood in front of a mirror that was placed to the side of the bed.
In the reflection stood a pale man who stood roughly 180cm, straight black hair that was oily from the previous banquet of sweat, amber brown eyes that stared deep into another's soul and a beautiful sharp face that showed a hint of mysteriousness capable of making passer-byers who saw him blush.
"Not bad, at least I didn't end up taking over an ugly body. Haha but it seems i've become too lucky lately. If only I was this lucky when those despicable Gods captured me."
"Sigh I can't feel any mana in this world though"
Bvvt Bvvt
A phone that was placed on the dresser next to the bed started to vibrate.
incoming call|
Answering the phone Solomon had a sudden throbbing headache wash over him. This headache was not normal as it affected Solomon's soul.
"Hello, honey are you there?"
Solomon was baffled, he had no idea who this person was or how he was capable of understanding what she said so he entered a brief period of overdrive thinking.
'Who is she? Honey? Why can I understand this language i've never learnt before? What was that throbbing headache from before?'
"Me and your father hope to see you at home son, we miss you Roy, and we're sorry, we shouldn't have made that plan behind your back setting up your engagement with the first daughter of Merva family"
"We thought it would be a good idea for our families to become tied, and we knew you wouldn't like it, we're sorry"
'Roy?, it must be my body's name. It would seem i've also got a bit of a family problem' Solomon sighed inwardly.
He was the most powerful mage in his previous world and he never had to deal with situations like this. He detested people who stabbed their friends in the back and made sure to keep a distance away from anyone who could hold his weakness and stab him in the back.
This led Solomon to become solitary in his previous life, he never held anyone close and kept his feelings towards other people strictly business. If they wanted help from him, they'd need something interesting to offer up as a reward.
This may have been a reason why Solomon didn't go insane throughout the unknown amount of time spent in his imprisonment. He never had anything he held close so he never had any major reason to escape. The endless abyss was something Solomon lived through in his entire life. No-one was waiting for him, and he didn't want anyone either. So what if he was chained up in the abyss, he made his own chains in life that forced him not to get too close to other people.
So what if he was alone, he could always hide himself in his magic research.
Now however he was at a loss.
He couldn't remember the last time someone was worried for him, albeit not him but his new body. He still felt a tad bit emotional.
"Roy? Please something"
Solomon ended his sympathetic thoughts and decided to finally speak to the woman who cared for him.
"I'm here, it's okay now but i'll still need some more time to figure things out. I hope you'll be okay with that"
"Okay honey, call me when you want to come back home and i'll send a driver to pick you up"
The woman's voice sounded full of worry for the well being of her son. Solomon couldn't help but feel his eyes become watery.
The woman ended the call after informing her son about what happened with his engagement.
Solomon felt a massive weight lifted off his chest.
"Sigh, I can already tell it's going to be a pain acting like this body to not draw suspicion. But I wonder what that headache was"
Solomon..no Roy started to examine his body. Once he reached his soul he was shocked.
His soul was now roughly 2 meters, he didn't understand how his soul got bigger by another 0.25 meters.
After contemplating for roughly a minute he came to 2 conclusions and that the throbbing headache was his soul expanding.
'Either my soul continued to expand from when I shattered it or the soul of this body laid dormant and my soul ate it'
After a pause Roy thought it was mostly the latter as he was suddenly able to speak and understand this world's language with no prior knowledge.
After searching through his own memory he was indeed correct as he was able to find memories that were not originally his. The woman who called was Margaret Dallas my mother. My family are one of supporting families of this country and the Merva family was the second strongest family, through the marriage of the two genius heirs Roy Dallas and Ella Merva, the two families were going to rise to the top of the country, however what happened was that the two ran away from the meeting, sparking controversy throughout the country and two families.
Knock Knock
Roy looked at the door before summing up his thoughts "Come in"
A beautiful girl in a stylish black dress walked into the room. She carried a dignified air around her. Her long silky black hair, sharp elegant brown eyes, luscious red lips and snow white skin could only be described as stunning.
Roy looked at the girl briefly stunned before coming to his senses.
"Hi Ella"
This girl was Ella Merva, his fiancee and whom he ran away with from the meetings of their respected families.
"We should talk about what we…."
Before she could finish her sentence a loud rumble that could be heard by everyone roared throughout the world.
A massive earthquake shook the entire world and soon a powerful surge of blue wind followed after.
Those unfortunate to be outside or near weak buildings had an untimely death.
Roy and Ella fell to the ground while the apartment room continued to shake. After the cataclysm ended, the two headed outside the building to survey what just happened.
Everyone was confused as they had never expected such an event to take place, but Roy was the most shocked as he could now feel a faint trace of what made him the most powerful mage in his previous life….Mana.
