Chapter 50 - Dropped...

(A/N: I lied... 50 chapters, wow... to all of you who have read this far, hope you have enjoyed, if not what are you still doing here 69k words later?)

The moment she saw the lewd expression smeared across the nobles face Hephaestus felt like turning around and letting Lumas deal with it however as the manager of these shops and the goddess of a Familia she pushed that feeling down nearing the Noble as she spoke

"This sword is only for sale to Adventurers, I hope you can understand" her tone had no sense of softness and the noble felt like a cold blanket was thrown on him as he respectfully spoke "Oh my beautiful goddess, what would it take for me to purchase this sword and whisk you off your feet"

"Pfft… Pffhaha" Lumas broke out into a fit of laughter at his words, did he think he was some poet. The noble nearly got on one knee he only stopped at the last second awkwardly crouching, The noble shot him a glare but Lumas paid it no mind "Silence... peasant" The clerk froze as he went paler, he was on the cusp of fainting. Hephaestus was clutching her fists at her side, she gave up at this point it's up to Lumas, if he was stupid enough not to realize the disparity in power then there was no point in trying to reason with him

"You know, I never thought that word would bother as much as it does… maybe it's because of my past that it makes my blood churn…" slowly he stepped towards the noble his guards tensing, "I used to be a prince, long ago before the fall of my kingdom…" another step "We were a superpower, no other kingdom could even dream of matching us…" one of the guards unsheathed his weapon "NOT ANOTHER STEP" Lumas didn't listen and the guard swept his blade down, it was painfully slow in Lumas eyes turning his body he avoided the blades path as he stood face to face with the noble who in panic lashed out with the sword

Lumas made no attempt to evade that sword's path, the moment the sword hit his skin it stopped not even scratching him "To use a sword against its creator… tsk tsk… what a fool you are" Lumas pulled his arm back "It's only fair right?" Letting loose Lumas punched out his fist meeting the noble right on the chin sending him flying back, the sword flew from his hand and twisted in the air, before it could hit the ground Lumas caught it and returned it to the shelf

Ignoring the guards screaming for him to stop resisting and die, Lumas walked right past Hephaestus saying a quick apology before leaving he came here to drop off some weapons and he already finished no reason to stay and deal with these idiots any longer

As the clerk watched Lumas leave he let out a sigh of relief before turning toward the guards that were making sure the noble was okay "You know how stupid you are?! You almost killed us all! That was the most dangerous man in Oriaro a level 10 who wrestles dragons for fun! DRAGONS!! You! You! You! YOU! GET OUT OF MY SHOP"

As the noble and his entourage heard this they could help but tremble, they heard it in such a prestigious shop with a goddess present and she didn't correct him so it must be true… right? Well they had no doubt it was true

Hephaestus however could only shake her head as she returned to her office, she already knew the clerk would absolutely refuse to sell any of Lumas wares to anyone that wasn't an adventurer after this...

=========================================

Bell was deep within the 5th floor, he hadn't returned to the surface. He couldn't tell how long he had been inside but he knew he had to continue, if he could push himself to the brink… maybe just maybe he would get a large boost in exceila… Ais had said one thing beofre he left for the dungeon, 'High Risk, High Reward' and that's what he is betting on. His limbs had long gone numb from various cuts and bruises not to mention the exhaustion, but he persisted because he needed to understand what Lumas saw in him.

He was nothing more than a simple thief, living hussle by hussle, swinging his halberd around in a manner that drew two diagonal circles at either side of himself beheading a war shadow and cutting the tongue of a frog shooter, this wouldn't of been possible without '100 Illusioned Movements' his stats wouldn't allow him to reach this amount of speed and force even if his kinetic vision could keep up, something he had to thank Lumas for when he returned to the surface

Pulling a sharpened magic stone from his pouch he flung it towards the frog shooter with the help of '100 Illusioned Movements' piercing through its eye causing it to slump over, passing his eyes around the room he saw that it was empty he didn't hear any footsteps nearby so he began collecting whatever he could from the monster before a quick rest then clearing the next room

This has been Bell's process since he came into the dungeon and it has worked out relatively well, there had been a few cases where he'd been pinched in a room due to the dungeon spawning monsters behind him, looking down at his leather breastplate he added two marks making 230 marks. His goal is 350 any more then that felt like he was pushing it, immediately after hitting 350 he will turn around and fight his way to the surface making sure to use the same path, which was far from the main path taking the furthest set of stairs at each floor, this had been possible thanks to a set of maps of the 1st through 5th floors he made sure to memorize at the Loki' Manor
