Unknown POV
'How did it go?', he asked me.
He was seated in his throne in the dark. Only a little light shined through the window making his legs visible to me. He was wearing a suit like he usually does, this time it was a dark navy color.
'It went great, the flood has made the refugees swarm the capital like you predicted.' He was the one who ordered the flood, I did help in making it possible. But I was just his lackey. That's all I was to him.
'Hahaha,' he laughed like the villain he was, finding joy in the wrekcage of the flood. I, on the other hand, did not know how to feel.
Should I feel guilty for the lives I had destroyed? Or should I follow his example and be joyful that his plan is suceeding?
While I have no connections to those people I did feel a tinge of guilt over what I had done, but I didn't have any other choice. I had to follow his instructions, if not.....
At least I minimized the size of the flood by telling the wizards who follow me to lighten the volume of the flood and thus the number of casualties. He could always have had someone else do it which would have a worse result. Looking down on the floor I hid my face in the darkness.
What else must I do to earn his trust, his approval?
'Things are going according to plan, I assume you know what to do next?'
At this is knelt in front of him with my head down and said, 'Yes, sir.'
Soon there will be more disasters coming to Litory.
One thing that confused me is why he decided to do the plans faster than before? What has changed?
