“Can you believe this, Siena?” I complained while I drove off, but I couldn’t hear her usual babbles and quickly realized she wasn’t here with me.
That was great. I didn’t even have Siena to talk to. When I told Christian about wanting to be more involved, this was not what I meant. I couldn’t even enjoy my time with my family because I had to do Christian’s job.
I couldn’t only complain, though. Seeing Dario also had its advantages, and I had nothing against checking up on my friend who threw his dad aside just to help us. How would Dario feel about seeing me?
