“Serena!” I heard Emmanuella’s voice in the hallway. I yawned and opened my eyes but quickly figured out that I could not move an inch. “Hmm, she must’ve gone out early.” I heard her whisper to herself.
That’s right, I fell asleep in Christian’s room...and he did not move me.
He had his strong arms wrapped around my back and rested his head in the crook of my neck. I turned around with a surprised smile on my face, trying to not wake him up. Since when was he such a teddy bear?
Staring at his face was all I could do as he looked the most peaceful I had ever seen him. Lately, all he had been doing was looking stressed over nothing— and even though it was not my job to worry I was happy to see him asleep.
