She concocts a spell to make a dream come true that involves her and the Prince be bonded together. When midnight strikes, her wish will be granted and her love for the boy will not be left for granted. Unfortunately, the Baron finds out about her plan and stops her before she can begin her proposal.
Moon Shade is not only reprimanded by the Baron, but she is also cast out from her home. The weight of her trick is too heavy for their Father to dismiss and he sees far more danger to keep her near.
And the motion has been set. Moon Shade begins to hate. The loathsome sentiment buried deep inside her rise up to get what she wants. No matter the effect, it's her cause that's significant.
Shade finds herself looking for the aid of dragons who secluded themselves in the mountain up north. The strong wind and high altitude is a tough obstacle to overcome but her will to have her love is greater than the lights that will come.
