"Ohhhhhh... godddd…"
A loud wail on the room next door caught her attention. She glanced at the clock beside her bed. One o'clock past ten minutes after midnight. What the hell was her younger brother doing at this ungodly hour???
She closed her mystery book and set her glasses down on the table beside the clock. She pinched her nose bridge and decided to ignore the silent groan of her brother for an unknown reason.
Her daily routine is now done and she read an hour of her favorite thriller book before bedtime. It's time to sleep and rest her tired body. She has only four hours to get some shut-eye before another day of a full-time job at the station.¹
She rested her head on her pillow and closed her eyes.
"Ohhhhhhh… fuckkkkkkk…."
"SHIT!!!" She exclaimed.
Quickly throwing the thick blanket off her body and marching out of her room. She banged hard on the door to get her brother's attention.
"GEOFF!!!"
There was no answer.
