The white ceiling welcomed her eyes as she gently opened them. The sticky and wet feeling from her shirt forced her to recall the scenes at the cave.
From hearing the old man's plea to discovering the underground pit. And the skeletons breaking from their earthy vases marching their way to prevent them from escaping.
"Where's Youngjae?"
She asked and quickly stood up from the bed. Before she could open the door, Detective Sungmin appeared with his sullen eyes and frowning face.
"You should go back to bed, Ms. Han. You need a long rest after what happened."
"What happened?"
She asked, crumpling her face. Baffled by the investigator's worried expression, she sat back to the side of the mattress and stared at him who sat at the chair near opposite hers.
"Detective Sungmin, I'm sorry I can't recall what happened next after Mr. Ryo and I were hunted by the skeletons inside the pit. Were you the one who saved us?"
