"Je'er?" I called out, still she responded with another silence. However, I noticed the movement of her hand. She balled it into two tight fists.
That was a good thing. I immediately notice her swollen, red eyes. Just what the hell happened last night?
"Do you want to talk about what happened last night?" I continued. "Do you want to move somewhere… safe?" Now, I couldn't really offer her to leave in Chris's place but I am confident that Ramik would be able to arrange this for me.
Again, she said nothing.
"I am taking you somewhere safe." This time, I was no longer waiting for an answer. The priority is to give her a place where she would feel safer. Clearly, a place with her father outside isn't that kind of place.
"Ramik…"
"Miss?"
"Call Chris… tell him… I need a room for Je'er. Somewhere safe." I gave him a knowing glance.
"Of course."
