I wondered if I should ask him about being Cross.
Would that make me look like I had gone crazy?
"Did something happen?" Chris leaned closer, his arms on the desk.
"Are you alright?" I couldn't help but ask. In fact, I didn't actually know what to ask. It has been so long. Should I give him a hug? A kiss? And while I was still wondering about these useless things, Chris leaned closer until his lips touched mine.
It was a short kiss. But it wasn't abrupt or anything like that. In fact, it felt more like a greeting, a hello. I smiled. "Did you eat?"
"Hmmm…"He shook his head. "I slept on my flight. You lost weight."
"Actually, it was you who look thinner." I retorted.
"What are you doing?"
"Well…"
His eyes were already on my computer. You are looking into the Feng Family?
"Yes."
"Don't get involved in their matters." He was talking as if he already knew about Xu Je'er's marriage.
"I can't do that."
