Chapter 65

(Unedited)

Three 3-meters large bears are currently gorging on the human corpses littered on the ground. It was like those three are feasting on some delicacies that seem to enjoy what they are eating. I, who's observing this scene in the shadows almost made my stomach churn.

How could this scene be pleasant? Though I was the one who killed these guys, yet I feel nauseated when seeing them getting eaten just like that.

Everything was dark and the moonless night even made it hard for any creature to see anything. However, for me, it was as if there is silver light that could let me see through the darkness.

I observed carefully and could only see these three large bears. So I feel a bit relaxed and slowly walk out of the darkness. My first target is the small bear on the side as it slowly much on the bones of the armed man's corpse.

My first technique is taekwondo Korean martial arts. Many people say that this martial art is just for show and has no value when it comes to fighting. However, I think it is useful for me as it would demonstrate and show my leg strength and power.

I stealthily walk towards the bear's back, and then when I am in the right position, I suddenly darted forward.

The first experience, first move… 'Side Kick!'

Bam! Crack!

I did not hold back and sent that small bear flying forward and I could even feel and hear the cracking of its spinal column.

When the bear stopped tumbling on the ground it was not able to move anymore and just groan in pain.

"Roar! Roar!" it cried pitifully.

The two large ones heard it pitiful cry and turned their attention towards the small bear. They turn their attention towards the whole area and began sniffing in the air.

Growl!!!

It seems that they picked up my scent as they glared in my direction.

With blood dripping from their mouths, the two giant bears suddenly ran towards my location.

I did not hesitate and also quickly ran towards those two large creatures.

When I was near the first bear, I quickly did a pivot on my hips and did a 'roundhouse kick' in which the ball of my foot made contact with the hardened fur of the bear.

I still could not control my strength as it sent the bear flying to the side. But this time, the bear just suffered a slight concussion because of its thick and hard fur.

The second bear which is near has already arrived near me and suddenly swung its large paw. But I am a bit quicker than it as I am already in the air. The next move would be the 'Axe Kick'…

Bam!

The ball of my foot squarely hit the head of the bear which sent it planted on the ground kicking up a dust cloud.

Those are some of the basic taekwondo moves that I have read and now that I was able to execute them, I felt a slight familiarity with them.

Next is the Japanese martial art karate.

Without hesitation, I quickly went to the side of the large bear who is slowly standing up while shaking its body. It still could feel the pain on its side from my roundhouse kick. Without warning, I suddenly sent a 'Straight Punch' on its gut.

Bam!

Urk!!!

The bear cried in pain as I sent it staggering a bit. Then I follow it with a 'foot sweep' which made it fall to the ground. Then I quickly do a stomp or stomping kick on one of its huge legs.

Crack!

The sound of bones cracking could be heard. But the bear suddenly sweeps its paw in my direction trying to fend me away from it.

It worked but I did not dodge but employs a blocking technique. However, I underestimated the bear's strength and I was sent staggering a few meters.

Then suddenly I felt danger on the side as I quickly do a side block.

Wham!

I was hit by a powerful blow which sent my once again staggering within a few meters.

That strength was terrifying that if a normal person was hit by it, I know that they would have already turned into minced meat.

I know that because I could see my constitution stats falling to 8/20%. It means that 2 of my 10 constitutions at 100% were immediately down.

"Powerful, really powerful…" I muttered as I shake my arms which I could feel a slight pain with traces of bruising.

"Well, let's do Sanda, next…" I muttered as I quickly went into a boxing position.

Sanda is Chinese kickboxing, but this time, I will be concentrating more on punches. I will not employ my 'Heaven Seeking Fist' but normal punches with proper technique and footing.

I quickly move towards the bear which looks at me menacingly and suddenly wave its huge paw to once again attack me.

Swoosh!

Instead of blocking, I quickly lowered my stance and duck the swing. Then I shifted to the side and deliver four quick punches on the bear's side.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Crack…

Roar!!!

My successive 'jabs' hit the same location which seems to weaken one of the bear's rib cages and made a cracking sound from it.

A slight smirk appears on my face as I did the same move on the other side after dodging another of its huge paws.

The bear was unable to lift its huge paw as it causes it to be in pain upon doing so. It now relies on its sharp teeth to start biting me.

But before its huge head could approach, I did a quick 'cross' punch which sent the direction of its head to my side. With this opportunity, I did not hesitate to deliver a powerful uppercut as I jump high up in the air sending the huge body of the bear up.

Thud!!!

The large bear fell on the ground with a loud thud and passed out. I seem to have dislocated the bear's jaw.

But before I could recover, the last bear began charging towards me in rage.

It is using both of its claws swinging it all over the place.

The swings did not have any particular trajectory, so I can only use the 'Wu Shu' movement technique to dodge each of its attacks.

Swift and calm combining both and turning it into an art form that looks like I am one with the wind and nature is something that I have only seen in the movies. But right now, I am doing it as what is said in the information online.

I saw the movement and it is in my mind. But my body is still a bit stiff in following it, so my clothes suffered the consequences.

But as time went by, the bear began to be tired and I have already grasped the movements. Now it is time to strike back.

As the bear swung its paws, my arms rotate with its flow, and then suddenly, following the flow I quickly spring back with a solid punch on its chest.

Bam!

This is followed by a quick strike from one of my feet.

Bam!

However, I realize that Wu Shu's routine is not that effective in striking. Dodging, quick maneuver, and diverting the strength of my enemy are its effective quality. But I also know that 'Wu Shu' and 'Sanda' is almost the same branch of martial art. One is for dodging and flow, and one is for an offense.

And I now realized its connection through this experience.

Although the bear was not hurt, I quickly change my stance and shifted to my last martial art, the Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

The bear suddenly moved and suddenly bit below. It almost bit my head off, luckily for me; I was quick on my feet and suddenly shifted to its side.

Without hesitation, I quickly grab its large arm which is as big as my body, and then with a quick twist dislodge its joint.

Crack!

Roar!!!

The bear cried in pain and wanted to scratch me with its other hand, however, I quickly roll on the ground and dodges its attack.

Without hesitation, I quickly grab one of its small legs and with all my strength push it to the ground.

Thud!

Its huge body fell to the ground. I then twisted its leg with a loud crack. I seem to have fractured its leg as I noticed its bone sticking out of its skin.

After doing all of the basic moves that I have read, I could say that all of them are in my mind and my body can now fully use them to their fullest.

I may have been hit here and there, but I have also gained a lot of experience and could not say that I have absorbed those basic martial arts movements from 5 different martial arts.

And now, it is time to put everything to the real test.

I shifted my gaze to the shadows and then looking at the paved road, I shouted.

"Come out… Stop hiding!"
