Chapter 45 - Parable Poem

Like a farmer,

Waiting for his crop to ripen,

I too, must wait for my relationships to ripen.

Like the bear,

Hibernating in winter,

I too, must hibernate on my wants.

Like the tiger,

Stalking patiently,

I too, must be patient in my waiting.

God has called me to his purpose

So who am I to refute?

I am but a slave,

Not worthy of a grain of sand,

But God has been merciful,

Giving me everything!

Like Christ was pained

By his duty to the world,

I too, am pained

By my duty to wait.

I can only humble myself

Before God and continue

To trust in his Word.
