Her head throbbed painfully. Grace found it hard to even begin opening her eyes. But she managed to, despite the weight of her eyelids.
Blinding light infiltrated her vision and she could already feel the sun's warmth tickling her skin.
Expecting to find herself on the balcony, it surprised her to find that she somehow managed to head back inside and even had a change of clothes.
"Crap!" Grace uttered, a realization dawning on her. She immediately got on her feet only to fall back to bed with the dizziness her sudden movement caused.
"Grace!" Lory's voice had her heart rate going extremely fast. Gentle hands stroked her hair and without looking up, she knew he came rushing to her bedroom upon hearing the noise she had made.
"I made a fool of myself last night."
"No," Lory immediately countered her claim. "You were only being human."
"I want to rip my humanity apart then."
