Elijah hung his head. He was expecting Anna to give him a call by now.
A lot has happened and he was waiting for Anna to tell him. But, unfortunately, his sister didn't share the same sentiment.
Elijah breathed out a tired sigh, propping his elbows on the crystal over his work desk. He covered his face with his hands and his mind kept on circling back to his sister,
Eyes closed, Elijah felt the gentle hands massaging the side of his head, her perfume slowly bringing a small smile to his lips.
Guiding her hands in the right direction, Elijah slowly opened his eyes and looked up from his swivel chair. Isabella smiled at him, Her mere presence was enough of a comfort for him.
Pressing a button, Elijah had the blinds close, allowing him and Isabela the privacy they needed.
He gently invited her to sit on his lap. She willingly obliged, planting a kiss on his lips.
"You just came in time." He murmured.
