"You give me a call when you make it back to your place safely, alright?" Anna smiled, crushing her grandmother in a tender hug.
The sun shone brightly like nothing happened last night. Birds chirped from afar and from the looks of it, the sky was clear.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Mrs. Mendoza. My family and I appreciate it. And it's been a pleasure to finally meet you."
Anna slowly let her grandmother go, allowing Kristofer to pay his respects.
"Oh, dear. You can call me gran, grandma, or granny. We are a family now, after all. Stop being too formal with me. That would make me think of you as nothing but a business partner. Now, now, that doesn't sit well with me."
Kristofer chuckled. He never felt so warmly welcomed in another household.
"It will take some adjustments, but… I can try, mama?"
Anna clamped her mouth. She was restraining herself from laughing so hard.
