It was a dark and stormy night, as Jessie waited for her dad to come home. hours had passed. one, two, three, she had lost count. she had gotten lost in her own thoughts, dozing off every now and again.
BANG BANG BANG!!! She was frightened! maybe it was her dad and he had been waiting. She ran to the door but something didn't feel right. " Dad? " she heard a voice that sounded like it was gargling gravel " yes Jess, it's me. let me in honey..." That wasn't her dad.
she ran to her moms room, and told her what had happened. her mother said to go back to bed but just then they heard a raspy voice from the other side of the wall and it started counting 1,2, 3, all the way to 20 and it said " ready or not here I come..." as soon as it said that they heard scratches and a slight giggling from the outside of the house.
Jessie's mother tried to find a weapon while Jessie followed shortly behind, not wanting to leave her mothers side. She had found her shotgun.
They both ran to the phone, Jessie's mother started to dial 911, when she heard in that same taunting voice " Run run as fast as you can but you can never escape the boogie man. " It sounded like it was coming from the window, Jessie's mother shouted at the source of the voice, " I don't know what you want from us but I have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it! "
As soon as she had stopped speaking a loud BANG from the window, the shape of a hand, Jessie's mother shot at the shape, shortly after she had heard an ear splitting scream. It was Jessie's father screaming in pain holding his bleeding appendage with his other hand, blood dripping and staining the snow below. her father's screams were accompanied by Jessie screamed " MOMMY WHY DID YOU SHOOT DADDY!? "Tears streamed down her face and through all the screams she could hear the giggling coming closer and closer, turning
to manic laughter. Something quickly dragged away Jessie's father and the crunching and tearing his flesh and munching on organs began. Jessie's mother picked up Jessie and ran, trying to comfort her while they hid from whatever was pursuing them. again it spoke " I can hear your fearful little heart beats~ " It sounded like the voice wasn't coming from one place, but from everywhere at once echoing inside they're heads like an empty water tank.
They heard the opening and closing of cabinets, cupboards and doors, It was looking for them. They had hidden in a cupboard underneath the television, as soon as it got to where they were it loomed ominously outside of the cupboard they could see through the little slivers in the door it had a dark aura of black mist slowly seeping in to they're hiding place. the mist slowly formed into a solid tentacle like appendage with a single eye at the end. It spoke in its terrifying voice " Looks like I've found you and now... you're mine! " Jessie's mother pleaded with the thing that had just taken her husband to take her and let Jessie live. It stood above them pondering if it should take the mother and leave Jessie, but kids were so scrumptious with their extra fear caused by they're creative little minds.
It had decided on eating Jessie.
It's grin had grown, hearing the screams of Jessie and Jessie's mother as it had picked each limb after limb off of Jessie's tiny little body. the life drained from her face and soon she was all gone. It then looked down on Jessie's mother sobbing into her hands. All that was left of her baby was a bracelet and a pool of blood now in front of her. It spoke. " I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself. kids are my favorite. they have a certain taste that I just can't resist! " Jessie's mother heard the sound of sirens in the distance. It spoke once more. " I'll just be on my way. it appears you have company coming. good night ma'am. " Jessie's mother cried holding Jessie's bloodied bracelet in her hands as the slight giggling faded into the dark. In the end, The police believed she had killed her husband and daughter and she now sits in her cell wearing her daughter's bracelet. She can't sleep because every night she hears the treacherous giggling just outside of her cell, The never ending giggling...
