The time was around 1:30 am when it happened. I was having one of my usual sleepless nights staring at my screen, playing another boring, RPG game. Easily beating every level. Completing useless quests. All for the millions of people that watch me play these ridiculous games because I'm the only one that finds the time to find all of the easter eggs and ultimately, the only one that actually has the time to complete thies type of games. What I wouldn't give for an RPG that is a real challenge. A game that is endless.
Of course, those don't exist, so my dream will never come true and my life is meaningless, only having meaning to the people watching me play. Heck, if I died right now, no one would really care. They'd just think, 'hey, that person just died. Too bad' and move on with their lives, not giving me another thought.
'Ding, Ding, Ding!'
A 'congratulations' popped up on my screen. Guess as I was zoning out I beat the game. 'Yay,' I thought unenthusiastically as I yawned. Another game, completed.
I turned and laid on my bed, stretching out and staring up at the ceiling.
I looked at my watch. 'Funny,' I thought. 'The time is still 1:30. I thought it would be at least 1:35 by now.'
I laid by hand back down on my bed and closed my eyes. But the second I did, I felt a bright light coming from some where in my room. I snapped open my eyes and looked around. My room was pitch black. No light anywhere. I closed my eyes again, and saw the light. And so, again, I opened my eyes to search for the light, but there was none.
I then, got up and searched my room for anything that might have caused that light. After unplugging my lamp, I laid back down and closed my eyes. Then, guess what, there was still that frickin' light shining in my eyes.
I'm usually a person that doesn't get angry too easily, but this ticked me off. I then, covered my eyes with pillows. It was all dark till I closed my eyelids, then, bam, the light was back.
'Why?' I thought. 'I just want to sleep.'
You may be thinking, 'hey, how about you sleep with your eyelids open?' Let me just say, I can't do that. Believe me, I tried.
After countless tries and fails, I was still stuck to where I was before. No sleep.
Wondering what time it was, I check my watch. 1:30. Was my watch broken? No it couldn't be. It is a solar powered watch and I left it in the sun two days in a row. It couldn't have just run out of power. It usually makes a loud beep before it died, and I think I'd remember if it beeped.
Currently, one thought was running through my mind, 'What the heck is going on?'
