I started coughing up the black, boiling blood and then my horns started to retract. The horns made their way back into my skull and scratched against my brain before settling at the base of my skull. There was another pain, I could feel my skull repairing itself.
Soon what followed was my fangs and nails being forced out of my body and falling on the floor. They soon regrew and the blood I was vomiting at this point was slowly turning red.
The strain on my body from < Metamorphosis > had taken its toll on me and I passed out.
When I opened my eyes I was surrounded by the void again.
"Alexander? Are you alright?" I hear Liebe ask.
'Yea, I think so.'
"That's good." He says.
'What…. Or who was that thing?'
"Trust me, you're better off not knowing." He tells me
'Okay. I don't like the answer, but okay.'
'So where am I?'
"Hmmm that's hard to answer, but just think of it as a safe space in your mind." Liebe says.
"Your sister is safe now and the girls were able to get out of the room." He tells me, "All of them left except your sister. She stayed here with you."
'That's nice'
I could start to feel myself drifting away from the void and waking up.
When I opened my eyes and stood up, I saw that my sister put my head on her lap and I could feel tears on my face.
She had been crying on me.
Then screens started popping up.

"Alex!" Eva cried, "Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine, what about you?" I ask her.
"I was so scared!" She shouted, starting to cry, "I didn't know what would happen if no one came. You were deathly wounded, are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine." I told her.
I looked out the window of the room and could see the carnage I had caused. All the dead bodies and the smell of blood were all hitting me at once again. I turned around and slid down the wall, covering my mouth.
I wasn't getting < Bloodlust > again, it's just all the destruction that had happened by my hands. Maybe I wasn't in control, but it was still my body that did it.
"Alex?" Eva asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." I tell her, uncovering my mouth and seeing blood all over my hand, "Everything is fine."
"Please tell me everything that happened." She said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes!" She said firmly, eyeing the dead Rogue pushed out of the doorway.
I start to tell her what happened.
"Once I passed out someone offered me power and to save you I accepted it…."
"The pain was going to kill me…."
"Suddenly I could see a path to you…."
"He was dead…."
"Something was taking over my body…."
"The fear was intoxicating…."
"I made it up here and the Rogue stabbed me…."
"Liebe was talking to me…."
"Then I woke up." I told her. I left out certain things because I didn't want to scare her, but I could tell that Eva knew I was leaving things out.
"O-okay." Eva said, a bit disappointed, "Alex, you can tell me everything."
"Listen, I'd rather not." I tell her, "Eva please understand."
"Okay." She says, "Tell me when you're ready."
I stand up and help Eva up.
"Let's go home." I tell her.
"Right!" Eva says.
As we start to head out I realize I didn't want Eva to see any of this and cover her eyes. She tried pushing away my hand, but she couldn't even with all her strength.
"Alex, I've already seen all of this." She says with a saddened tone, "When you were passed out I looked around."
I removed my hand and as we passed all the death, I could feel Eva's fear.
'Even if I'm not in < Metamorphosis > I can still feed off of someone's fear….'
"Come on." I say, putting my hand on her shoulder.
"Y-yea." Eva says jumping a little.
We finally make it out of the warehouse and I slide the door closed behind us. We start heading back to our apartment.
The sky soon turns to night and we're walking in the dark now, but every now and then I could see perfectly. I could tell Eva was worried about me, yet she didn't know what to say.
When we finally make it to the apartment and go inside, Eva just goes straight into her room and plops onto her bed. I couldn't help but let out a little laugh.
I went to my room myself and got some pajamas out, then headed to the bathroom to take a shower. I was covered in blood and my clothes were burned. When I was in there all the dried blood started to be rejuvenated and I could feel my heart beating faster.
I grabbed my chest and leaned against the wall trying to slow my heart rate. Eventually, all the blood was down the drain and I could breathe normally again. I finished the shower and got dressed.
I left the bathroom and checked on Eva. She's completely passed out exactly where she plopped onto her bed. I went into her room and picked her up and was going to put her in her bed properly, but I could fear starting to grow from her.
'She's awake and scared.'
I continued to put her in bed, pull the covers over her, turn off the light, and then left.
"Goodnight Eva." I tell her, "I'm glad you're safe."
Once I said that her fear disappeared.
