Chapter 9 - Lose Control

Inside the catastrophic forest, mixed cacophonous sound of humans and demons besetting the entire night. Lifeless corpse belonging to both party disintegrate in the bloody ground.

Iavis was fuming in vexation. The demons never stop emerging. The soldiers were fighting with their limitless strength, but the demons didn't decrease, it even multiply!

He gritted his teeth while continuously wrestle to the never ending demons. He unleashed an enormous golden mana, his swords flashed in a golden light, his azure pupils turns gold. A vast pressure cease some soldiers and demons. A sudden burst of pain merge in their heart.

The crown prince noticed the change in the atmosphere, he turned to the source of immense strength and his eyes widened in horror.

"Damn it, Iavis! Don't fúcking go berserk!" He yelled in panic.

The other soldiers, near the second prince, step back in terror. The demons continuously fought, not minding the massive amount of power the golden man released.

Iavis' vision blackened. Familiar voices entered his ears. 'Kill, kill, kill,' He groaned in protest. His hands shake and tremble, a new amount of power kept emerging in his body.

The others tremble. 'What is this terrifying power!'

The crown prince ran directly to his intractable brother. He didn't hesitate and landed a punch on his face. Iavis felt a sting on one part of his body as his vision turned clear.

He was squatting in the ground, and he notices some of the soldiers and demons was trembling non-stop. He stared naively on his angry brother.

"You idiot! You almost exploded!" The crown prince roared.

Iavis felt a rapid throb on his heart. Blood flowed on his body, leaving directly on his mouth. A few blur scene materialize on his mind. He closed in eyes in discomfort.

"I'm sorry..."his eyes turns back and the pain dissipated.

The crown prince did not interfere on his brother anymore and joined the unstoppable war. Iavis controlled his body as his breath return to normal. A huge backlash cause his strength to exhaust. He clenched his fist in exasperation.

The fight continued, but an unexpected turn around causes the soldiers to energizes. The demons were getting out of control. Like their source of power has vanished completely. They just keep attacking without knowing who to attack. Like, their vision disappeared. They notice the source of demons weakness. The portals were slowly closing!

Iavis gently fasten his swords and ran directly to the remaining demons. He aimed for the throat of his opponent, the demons let out loud squealed. A green liquid substance splashed on his face. He pulled out his swords as the demon fell on the ground. He didn't mind the filthy thing on his face as he charged towards the other demons.

Mixed colorful mana visualize all of the skills and expertise in one's nature. But mostly the five colors glowed darkly. The red Obelima, the blue Trillion, the green Protalan, the yellow Brasko and the gold De Asel. All united to fight and exterminate the huge masses of demons. Finally, the fight is over.

The soldiers and mages let out a sighed when all the demons has been completely wipe out. Iavis crouched down on the ground. Sweats coruscate on his forehead, his wet golden hair cling unto the side of his face.

"Let me go! Let me go! You idiot deserve to die!" A strident juvenile sound resounds the quite forest.

They all glance at one certain direction and saw Daniel carrying an adolescent on his arms. His expression was dark and ugly. They soon saw the other soldiers on his back, filled with regret and contrition for the death of comrades and for not able to brisk their need of assistance. Sebastian and the wind mage glared at the whining youth.

The youth was scowling angrily. His age was between seventeen or nineteen. He had black curly hair and a pair of different colored eyes. The left was green while the other was completely pitch black. He continuously whine and Daniel threw him on the ground in anger.

"This is...?" The crown prince asked in confusion. But his suspicion was neither this kid was connected to the outburst of the demons, or he did something unforgivable.

Daniel kicked the youth: "This kid is the one responsible for opening the portals."

"Damn you! I told you I didn't do it!"he glared at them.

The soldiers immediately change their expressions, from confuse to full anger.

"You evil child! We saw you controlling the portals!"the wind mage yelled.

"I told you I am not! You are kidnapping a child! You will be punished by law!"

"Damn it..." Cohen hissed, watching from an afar. Beside him was Uriel, who was sobbing pitifully for the death of his other friend.

The elf sighed and tried hard to comfort the loud lion. They also did not expect the unforeseen ambushed of demons. If this kid is really responsible for those, he gritted his teeth. He really hopes not.

"Cohen... Is that kid killed Hwa?" Uriel asked in a soft tone.

Cohen coughed. "I'm not sure."

Uriel went silent. His tears returned and sobbed again loudly at his dead chicken.

Afterwards they decided to keep the boy to observe his mysterious power. The angry soldiers glare at him. If he is really the one who opened the portals, they should kill him immediately. No, almost twenty soldiers died because of this boy. Punish him and then kill.

The remaining soldiers set up the disastrous camp. The moon was glowingly shining, making them feel sorrowful for the deaths of their comrades. The crown prince remind them that the sacrifices of the soldiers will be forever treated as prestige and glory. The remaining soldiers burst in tears for their thoughtful crown prince.

The surviving troupes harmonize in ineffable solitude. Some even organize mini celebration, to decrease the miserable atmosphere.

Inside the camp, eight figures encircle the boy. Some frowning in displeasure while the other was waiting impatiently.

"Daniel, is it true that this boy can open portals to the demon realm?" Troy asked in a serious tone.

Daniel nodded, "Yes I saw it, he tried to run away with the open portal, but I caught him using my soul weapon."

They all show an ugly expression. If this boy can summon portal, then what about the others? The other who was unknown.

"This will be troublesome. We need to get him on a temple to understand his source of power. From my perspective, he's not using any mana or spiritual force." The crown prince narrowed his eyes.

The boy kept protesting. He was tied on the chair and a spell was cast on his lips to avoid causing noise.

"The temple closest to our is the temple of Harlor." Gavin suggested.

Temple Harlor is one of the five temples on the kingdom of Orlacion. It was between the duchy of Obelima and the city of Protalan. Five temples was build by the first ruler of the kingdom, to honor the gods who gave them powers.

"We will depart tomorrow."the crown prince conclude. They all nodded in agreement.

A figure leaning against a huge tree while closing his eyes. Petrichor smells and moonlight resol reflect his already exhausted face. Despite closing his eyes, he remained oblivion on his surroundings. Countless of blurr image entered his mind, regardless of blurry memories his heart burst in felicity. He groaned silently.

The mist was pardo in color, but the atmosphere around the golden man was dormint and vehement. All sweven dreams since he was a child was now making him reverie and confuse if those memories are his or not.

Today he almost got berserk. Thinking about losing control of his power was both disappointing and maddening. He was the descendants of the god, Triano. Although his brother was the future ruler, he was also a true heir. What will happen if the kingdom of Orlacion will know about his uncontrollable power? They will view him as a monster.

He sighed, but a loud voice interrupted his slumber.

"What are we going to do here, Uriel?! Let's fúcking go back!"a sweet voice emerge followed by a hoarse tone.

"Let's bury Hwa, you are heartless if we don't bury him."

"Ugh damn it!"

They didn't notice Iavis who was already standing behind them. But the elf senses are reliable, he glanced at the huge tree and his violet eyes widened.

"S-Second prince!" Cohen greeted in panic. Uriel also followed.

Iavis smiled gently at them, but his smile faded when he noticed the thing that the beastman was holding.

Why is he holding a dead chicken?
