Chapter 5 - 2

As I entered the train I saw a small, red-headed, brown-eyed girl. She was wrestling with a trunk and the cage of what looked like a kitten. A few meters behind her were the twins and Lee Jordan. They weren't paying attention to her, their attention was fixed on the music they were blasting through their AirPods. They were saying things like "dude this tape is sick", "it's wicked". My attention went back to the small girl standing there.

(guess where I got this from)

"Want a hand?" I asked her.

"Yes please," she said.

"Oy, Jane! C'mere and help!" I shouted to my best friend. He came and grabbed a handle of the trunk while I grabbed the other one, and the red haired girl grabbed her kitten's cage.

"Where shall we take this?" Jane asked.

"This wagon should be fine, thank you very much." She said, then sat down.

"No problem. I'm Jane Pomfrey by the way, hope to see you at the Hufflepuff table this year."

"No way, she'll definitely be a Ravenclaw. I'm Roxanne Black-Lupin."

"I'm Ginny, Ginny Weasley."

"Pleasure, if you don't mind we're going to our wagons, bye Ginny." I said.

"Bye!" She answered.

As we were leaving I saw Lottie entering the train. Uncle Prongs was carrying her trunk, and Aunt Lily was carrying her owl.

"Hi Lottie! How are you feeling?" I asked, as I picked her up and spun her around.

"Hey Rox! I'm very excited for my first year!" She answered, as I left her on the ground.

"Princess, where should I leave this?" Asked her father, his fingers red from all the weight.

She shrugged.

"To the left there's a wagon with another first year, you can leave it there if you want to."

"Thanks Crys." He said, then headed towards the wagon.

"Bye babe, have fun!" Said my Aunt Lily, and quickly kissed my cheek, as she followed her husband through the train.

"Bye princess, see you when we arrive okay?"

"Okay, bye R."

Jane, who had been beside me waiting for the conversation to end, stretched out her arms. "Come here," she said, and I hugged her.

"I missed you,  J."

"I've missed you more, R."

We then stopped hugging and went to wagon 10. As we entered we saw Cedric, Cho and Roger. There was only one seat left.

"J, you sit there, I'll go to another wagon."

"No way I'm letting you go alone."

"Really, there's no problem, don't worry."

"Sure?"

"Sure."

"Alright, but call me if you need anything."

"Sure, bye, love ya."

"See you at dinner Roggie," I said, and hugged him.

"See you later R."

"Bye babe," I said as I kissed Cedric. "Come to my room when we arrive." I whispered in his ear, then left.

I checked every wagon, but all were full. Well, all except one.

"Morning," Said Fred Weasley, as I sat at the wagon.

"Morning." I replied, I sat in front of him, and beside his twin brother, George.

At least I'm on the window, I thought, while I put on my airpods and listened to Mother Mother. (a/n most people at Hogwarts, who are not pureblood supremacists, like listening to Muggle authors, keep in mind how many muggleborns or half-bloods attend Hogwarts)

"Boobear, Freddie, Georgie, I have the best prank EVER planned." said Lee (a/n, yeah, Lee now calls you Boobear because of James.)

"Alright,"  said Fred

"Let's see," said George

"We're going to steal the sorting hat." He said, very proud of himself. The twins' reactions grew, even more, his abnormally large ego.

"Lee Jordan,"

"You're a genius"

"You've got to be kidding me, the teachers keep an annoying close watch at the hat." I mumbled to myself, however, George who was beside me, was able to hear me.

"You're right -" he paused, because he didn't know my name.

"Roxy."

"Roxy," he repeated. "How exactly are we going to do this if it never leaves Professor Lupin's hands?"

Lee stared at me, knowing perfectly well who I was. "We may have an insider willing to help."

"Uh-uh." I said. "No way Jose."

"Roxy," George said, he stopped to think. "You're Harry's cousin aren't you? You're Roxy... Potter?"

"Close enough," I answered. "Ara Roxanne Black-Lupin."

"Can I call you Arabelle?" Fred asked.

"Absolutely not."

"Then how come Harry's dad can."

"Shit. You heard that?" I asked, rather embarrassed

"Yeah, big deal, answer my question."

"Harry's dad is not an asshole." Well... I thought to herself.

"Neither am I, Arabelle."

I rolled her eyes and flipped him off. "Piss off Fredster."

"Fredster?" He asked confused.

"Yeah, as payback."

"Sure, I like it."

"So then, Professors Lupin and Black are your dads?" asked George.

"Yeah."

"Wicked. So couldn't you distract your daddy while we steal the hat?" he asked.

"I guess."

"George will snatch it, as we all know, he's far more intelligent than Fred." Said Lee.

Fred punched his arm "Hey!"

"Ara Roxanne Black-Lupin, you better not fuck this up." George said to me, looking straight into my eyes.

"Don't worry, I won't."

...

(a/n: I know in 1991 it arrived at 7-8 (ish), but technology is much more advanced 20 years later.)

We arrived at the castle at around 4pm, and Fred was grabbing one of my arms, and George the other.

"Let's go, before anyone sees us." Lee, who was beside Fred, said.

"I just have two questions, first of all, what will you do with the hat when we steal it?"

"Fred and I will hide it at an abandoned classroom"

"Without Peeves, Filch or Mrs Norris seeing you? No way in hell you'll be able to do it."

"Let's just say the tree of us know our way around the school pretty well." Fred said.

"What's the second question?" George asked.

"What do I get out of this? I mean, beside from detention." I asked.

"The chance to see everyone's face when they realize the hat is missing." Said Lee.

"I need more than that."

"Our respect." Said Fred.

"Why would I want your respect Fredster?"

"Because we're cool, Arabelle."

"Who says?" I asked.

"We'll carry your books for a week." George said, impatiently.

"A month."

"2 weeks."

"3 weeks and 30 galleons."

"Deal."

...

"Hi Moons."

"Hey baby, I left your trunks inside your room, along with Zouis." (Zouis was her cat)

"Oh thanks Pa! I completely forgot about him!"

"No problem hun."

"How are you and dad?"

"I'm exhausted but the scars have started healing. Pad's fine too."

"That's good."

"How was your night Bub?"

Moons left the hat on the floor, ready to listen about my night. I felt horrible, but the prank had to continue.

"It was fine, I watched a few episodes of The Bachelor with Aunt Lils and Uncle Prongs, then slept at Harry's bed."

"Oh, where was Harry?"

I gave George a quick glance, telling him to get the hat.

"At the Weasleys."

"Oh."

George went to snatch the hat, however, Moony saw him.

"Weasley, what do you think you're doing!"

"I- I- Did you do something to your hair Professor? You look nice." George said nervously.

"Ara Black-Lupin, do you have anything to do with this attempt of trying to steal the hat?"

She stared at the floor.

"Ara Roxanne Black-Lupin, answer me!"

"Not at all, of course not."

"Bub, you're a horrible liar," George whispered to me, now standing beside me.

"Shut up Weasley," I whispered back.

"That's it, detention! Both of you! After the Sorting Ceremony, which will be celebrated with the hat you didn't manage to steal, I want both of you in my office!"
