Mikayla has especially stopped from taking him in for surgery for me so that I can talk to my dad. My dad is not completely with us but it just feels like I have to say my goodbyes should her surgery fail somehow. I take my dad's hand and I move my mouth closer to his ear so that he can hear me. Then I whisper.
"Daddy, it is me, Kim. I just want to let you know that I love you with my entire heart. You mean more to me than anything in this world. Thank you for making me the woman that I am today. I know that I could not be this woman without you in my life. Now I need you to be strong for me one last time and fight. I need you to see your grandchildren.
