The question Austin asked hung in the air, shifting the whole atmosphere. The world seemed to have frozen over as Austin stared into Valdris's beautifully shaking amber eyes. The words he spoke had shaken her heart, destroying all the plans Valdris had created.

Lyssandra suddenly spoke up, breaking Valdris out of her thoughts. She tried her best to reign in her expression as she replied back, trying her best to meet Austin's eyes.
"I don't know what you are getting at, but take a step back if you don't want to get hurt."
