"But I told you, I go all out on things that I'm committed with." he said playfully.
Leona's face had turned further livid with his statement. "WE ARE NOT TRULY COMMITTED TO EACH OTHER" she reiterated word by word making the guy chuckle.
Here comes her priceless reaction again.
"I'm not really sure about that honey, confining me here with just the two of us isn't really good for my innocence and clean reputation. You know these people outside are thirsty for gossips and can really have wild imaginations at times" he said it as he slowly approaches her, trapping her on the dressing room's door with a kabedon pose. "You know, those steamy ones." He added as he fans warm breath on her neck.
After he ended his teasing remark, Leona just gave him an incredulous gaze.
'This guy is not gonna stop until I get heart attack.'
"Wow! You're such a d*ck, I strongly suspect that there must be something wrong with your fans' taste to obsess over you." Leona blurted out without a care while shaking her head, pushing him aside and turned around to get away from this pervert and get out of the room. She's not gonna admit she's in the wrong ever, she acted out of urgency of the situation so she didn't think it through carefully.
Xavier let out a low laugh and leisurely followed his fiesty Lioness out with his hands in his pockets, the people around are giving them malicious look. He bets she's more annoyed now, while he on the other hand is greatly enjoying the situation.
"Sorry about that, my boss here has forgotten something confidential at work so we had to discuss it privately." she explained, all smiles at Kim whose face was washed with relief after hearing her defensive statement loud enough for the entire room to hear.
"Oh, you work for Xavier. I thought you were-" The designer didn't even hide her suspicion by scanning her from head to toe, seemingly making sure that they didn't do anything 'steamy'.
"Yes, I'm one of his secretaries. We needed to pick up some attires we would need for a business trip, my boss is just kind enough to refer me to your boutique." Geeez, the lies keep piling up. "And I don't dare attend business events with Mr. King while looking shabby so here we are."
Kim flashed a charming smile and held her arm. "I see, let's go get you a nice dress." she pulled her in one of the VIP rooms with Xavier treading closely behind them.
Xavier comfortably sat on one of the couches as Leona followed Kim around as she chose the dress for her.
"How about this one?" for the umpteenth times, Kim keep showing her dresses similar to a wedding dress. She has this feeling that the gal is trying to confirm that she's not lying.
'So this is how she plays huh?'
"Uhm Kim, doesn't this look like a wedding dress?" She pointed out when she showed her a mermaid cut gown this time. " CEO King and I are just going to attend a beach party. A simple white dress would do."
She saw how Kim's face brightened a shade lighter by the additional assurance after she added more information about the 'trip'. Well, she didn't really lie per se. She just omitted some facts.
"But my boutique doesn't do simple." Her brow twitched when she heard that, she's pretty sure she heard a similar statement from a cocky CEO just earlier.
'Do rich people always humble brag about how normal it is for them to do all things extravagantly?'
"Uhm, how about something not too eye-catching perhaps? No disrespect to your artwork, I know how each piece of your creations are handcrafted which made it invaluable in the market. I Iove everything here, It's just that... I'm just a mere secretary, what is important is that I'm presentable enough to stand beside the CEO." She lied, she has no idea about fashion at all. What she's more concern about now is getting out of this place without being involved in a petty fight.
"Hmm, that makes sense. Allright let me get your measurements instead and I'll create a simple but elegant beach dress for you okay?"
She sighed in relief, it seems like triggering her sense of crisis works. And kim is not that different with the other girls who are head over heels with Xavier. She wouldn't let another girl catch Xavier's attention by dressing her up, so Leona's request is actually beneficial for her.
"I'll appreciate that." She said wishing that she won't encounter this missy once the news is out.
