'What kind of stupid coincidence is this???' Leona was utterly surprised realizing that they are going to the same location, not just the same city but the exact same address.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Xavier asked when he noticed that she has a frown on her face while she's driving, seemingly confused about something.
She cough "Aherm, may I know what your business is in that place?" This time it's Xavier's turn to be surprised, this is the first time she's curious and asked something related to him, He remained quiet to stay collected for a second.
Leona briefly peeked at him when she didn't hear his answer before turning her attention to the road again.
"Liu Xiang" he replied.
"Oh" is all she uttered, not knowing what else to say.
An awkward silence enveloped the car.
After two hours of driving they finally reached their destination, a local prison in some rural town at Red Meadow City.
"You can take the car, I'll have Liu Xiang send me home-"
Remembering the reason why she's here, Leona did not even pay further attention to the guy next to her and bolted out of the car. Leaving the poor guy in a foul mood again.
Xavier followed the woman as soon as she left the car, silently observing her. It wasn't difficult for him to figure out that she's also here for someone, who would have caused her anxiety? Thinking it might be one of her close comrades, he somewhat felt a bit strange.
She walks towards the help desk and asked the police on duty something and he ushered her inside the small police station with him walking closely behind. Although he couldn't see anyone since there was a partition wall that hinders his view, he could hear someone wailing somewhere at the far end of the room. His eyes roamed around the small area, trying to find the person he came here for but his brows knitted realizing Liu Xiang is not around. He continued to tread after Leona, wondering where his friend is.
"Baaaaaaaaaaby!" Leona was greeted with a hug by a yelping koala. She's bawling in her arms like a kid, feeling helpless, Leona gave her a soothing pat on her back as she observed the people around her trying to figure out who the culprit that made Katarina cry.
Everyone is looking at them and she realized that Liu Xiang is also in the same room as Katarina, he is looking at them with his mouth shaped like a gold fish'.
Leona gently pushed her innocent friend away from her so she could see her face. "What's going on?"
But Katarina was distracted, she was looking at someone at her back, her face turned ashen.
"Baby who is this guy with you, why is he giving me murderous glare?" all of them were left stupefied by her innocent bluntness, well aside from Leona of course. She's use to this. and she's blunt herself.
Xavier braced himself so a scowl wouldn't show on his face, he really find this noisy Koala irritating that he wanted to peel her off Leona and throw her in the wilderness.
Leona looked over her shoulder "My boss." She casually answered.
Xavier Wang is a private person and rarely appears in the public, so she's confident that Katarina won't be able to tell what she's up to. Even in the upper class, only a handful knows him and had interacted with him.
"Oh, why are you working for a scary guy. I don't have good feelings about him. Resign and let's look for another job okay?" Xavier is at lost for words, Leona has no qualms in offending him and her friend has no qualms in speaking ill against him and with him in the same room at that! No wonder they're friends.
The weird mood in the room was replaced by a loud laugh. As if he's watching a standup comedy show, Liu Xiang guffawed like there is no tomorrow which made him the subject of murderous glares from both Katarina and Xavier. Realizing the situation he's in, he shut his mouth right away.
Katarina wailed again which made Liu Xiang's mouth twitched, this woman! She refused to talk earlier and just kept on crying, making him unable to explain his side, even the police officers can't talk to her.
"Baby, this pervert dared to touch me!" pointing at Liu Xiang.
Sensing an ominous vibe from his sister-in-law, Xavier waved both hands at Leona. Shaking his head profusely but to no avail because the next second Leona is already holding him by the collar and gave him a heavy blow on his cheek.
The police officers were taken by surprise so by the time they intervened Liu Xiang had already received several punches. The poor guy didn't even try to defend himself because when he met with Xavier's eyes, his traitor brother just gave him a let-her-vent look.
"Now let's hear both sides" Xaiver said when everyone seemed to cool down already.
'Really? now you wanna hear both sides after I'm beaten black and blue.' cried Liu Xian in his head.
"I was walking down the street when I felt someone following me, then he suddenly grabbed my arm so I didn't hesitate to defend myself. Luckily there was a good samaritan who passed by and helped me call the police."
Leona had the urge to beat Liu Xiang up again but she can't be bias and has to know both side.

"Where is your paper spray? I also gifted you a butterfly knife last Christmas and told you to bring it wherever you go, didn't I?"
Liu Xiang didn't know whether to laugh or cry, he shielded his stomach subconsciously and covered his already panda eye with her other hand 'Was I supposed to be stabbed?'
"Wait what were you doing in this town late at night by the way? I don't remember you having a relative here?" Leona asked with her arms crossed on her chest.
Katarina gulped realizing she had jumped into a quicksand, looking at her ashen face. Liu Xiang finaly found a way to retaliate.
"She's running a syndicate of pickpockets."
Katarina let out an incredulous gasp, shock evident on her face as she turned to Liu Xiang who smirked at her in return.
