As Bambietta was flown away, she was saved by an Espada who was spectating the battle between her and Komamura.
"How dare you lowly Hollow?!!!" Bambietta was enraged by the fact she was saved a Hollow whom she considers inferior to Quincy.
"It's not like I saved you by my own will. I saved you because of your underhanded tactic." 8th Espada, Layla Greenhorn stated.
Layla was a petite woman with long silky pink hair that has tied in twintails. She has sapphire eyes as well as snow-white skin. She wore a standard Espada outfit that been has modified by slightly changing it into an elegant dress.
"You wanna fight?!!!" Bambietta exploded after hearing Layla belittling Quincy.
"You forgot you Quincies lost to us and if it wasn't for your leader taking our leader as a hostage we would have exterminated all of you in the Las Noches." Layla calmly stated.
"You!!!" Bambietta couldn't find a word to say what an Espada stated was all truth.
Bambietta gritted her teeth before getting attacked by a snake-looking Zanpakuto.
Both Layla and Bambietta skillfully dodged and attacked a Shinigami at the same time.

Little before Renji initiated the attack on the ladies who were quarreling he noticed one was a Quincy while the other was an Arrancar which confused him.
Renji quickly sent this information to Intelligence Bureau to notify all the Shinigami about this threat.
After he sent the information, Renji tried to sneak an attack hoping to injure one of them which ultimately failed as he suspected.
Ladies vanished before his eyes and appeared behind him. Though Renji was able to outspeed them with his newly acquired speed, the ladies didn't fall that far.
While the fight was occurring Bambietta was confused as even when she was in her Vollstandig form she couldn't damage the Shinigami whom she doesn't remember appearing in a special battle threat.
"Who are you?" Bambietta asked while halting the fight temporarily.
"Enemy." Renji replied attacked at the same time.
While Renji was focusing on Quincy, he was flanked by Layla who was invisible at the moment and was cut in his right side around the abdomen area.
"What?!!!" Renji felt a sudden sharp pain which shifted his focus from Bambietta.
Bambietta didn't waste this chance and bombarded Renji with her Spiritual Energy infused sphere from her wings.
"Shit!!!" Renji exclaimed while being enveloped by the explosion.
"This is how you do it." Bambietta exclaimed loudly as if she wanted everyone around the area to hear, but Layla knew it was meant for her.
Suddenly a hand that looked like the hand of a gorilla flew towards Bambietta who let her guard down, from the smoke where Renji was supposed to be.
The hand was dodged by Bambietta before it flew back.
Bambietta stared at the smoke to catch a glimpse of Renji as well as Layla who was standing on top of the three-story building near, invisible.
Soon smoke and dust dissipated, revealing Renji in his new form of his Bankai, rather a true form of his Bankai.
The true form of Renji's Bankai took on a more compact form that was predominately worn.
On his right wrist, Renji gained a gauntlet resembling the top portion of a snake's skull, with a cowl of red fur surrounding its base.
A long, bony tail composed of vertebra-like structures protruded from the back of the skull, trails behind him, and hanged around his waist like a loose sash.
It was Renji true Bankai, Soo Zabimaru.
After the release of his true Bankai, Renji easily overwhelmed Bambietta before Layla joins the battle.
But even if Layla joined the battle it didn't change things as Renji was now far stronger than them combined.
Soon both Bambietta and Layla were panting while Renji was slowly coming closer to finish his job.
"Whistle, Tornado." Layla shouted.
"My name is Layla Greenhorn. Newly appointed 8th Espada." Layla introduced herself.
"Espada?" Renji frowns. He still remembers the day he let Arrancars live because of Aizen. 'I knew I shouldn't trust them.'
"Pleased to meet you." Layla stated while raising her right arm.
"Guadana de viento." As Layla softly says an enormous scythe made from wind and spiritual energy materialized.
Renji embraced himself ready to fight an Espada who used her Resurreccion.
"What?!!!" Renji's grew wider as Layla used the scythe to kill Bambietta.
"You b*tch." Bambietta murmured.
"What are you doing to your ally?!!!" Renji yelled. He was slightly surprised by this act.
"Ally? We are not allies with Quincy. They forced us to do it by taking our leader as a hostage. And now our leader is rescued we can settle our score with Quincies." Layla explained to Renji everything while turning to her normal form.

The news about Espada joined Quincy was devastating news to Shinigamis as they will now be fighting against Sternritters who are as strong as Captains and Espadas who are also as strong as Captains or even stronger.
The news was even affirmed as many Espadas were helping Quincies and were fighting Captains.
But soon news about Espadas fighting the Quincies instead of Shinigami was informed by several Shinigamis at the same time.
Shinigami's morale heightened as Byakuya who was revered among the Shinigami's assured the loyalty of Espadas after his encounter with 10th Espada, Ignacio Angarika.
As for why Espadas suddenly began their attack against Quincies was strictly tied with the advance of Nova to the headquarters of Wandenreich where Tier Harribel was held as a hostage.
During the time Yhwach and his most trusted and strongest aides were fighting against Nova, Nelliel infiltrated the Headquarter of Wandenreich under Nova's order to rescue Tier.
Nova knew Yhwach will fight him alongside his aides and must have prepared something for him. Therefore shifting all of their focus on him and make Nelliel rescue Tier was possible and Nova did so.
After the fight began Nelliel easily infiltrated the building and was quickly able to find her way towards the prison.
But Yhwach wasn't stupid enough to leave Tier with just a few regular guards. As he knew how strong Espadas were he left new Sternritter J, the Jail anticipating Espadas might revolve. Thus he sent all the Espadas except Tier alongside Sternritter to be safe and was assured so he left a single Sternritter.
Upon her arrival, Nelliel easily took down regular soldiers without making much commotion as they were no match for her.
The only one who could give Nelliel a little problem was the Sternritters. But she didn't encounter one so far.
Soon Nelliel trambled upon the Sternritter assigned to defend the prison.
The Sternritter congratulated Nelliel for coming this far and started she will die here as unless it's Espada he can beat any Arrancar.
Nelliel pitifully looked at her before introducing herself as 3rd Espada which was unbelievable to the Sternritter.
The Sternritter stated he has seen all 10 Espadas, thus she was lying.
Nellie explained how Tier doesn't count as Espada even though she strong enough to be 2nd Espada before swiftly killing the Sternritter.
Nelliel destroyed the gate of the prison, noticing the pitiful state of Tier Harribel whom she considers as a good friend and good leader.
Nelliel expressed her sadness before unshackling her and took her away.
It was around the time Nova got trapped.
The three Quincies were waiting for Yhwach's order.
Soon they were called by Yhwach.
