Chapter 3 - 03

By the time the clock hit 11 PM, the boys were beyond drunk and could barely manage to get out of the club without getting into any trouble and getting escorted by bouncers. It seemed like they had passed on from that stage of clubbing.

"Oh, gosh, look at them. They are… are.. so much intensely loving," Logan grinned pointed at a couple making out in the parking area.

"Shh… don't disturb them," shushed Ryan while grinning wider than Logan. Just then, Logan's eyes darted towards a group of girls who also happened to be looking sexy in their short party wears.

"She has got a pretty good ass," commented Ryan drawing his friends' attention towards one particular girl. As expected, neither of his friends were saints. They were quick to glance at the girl's ass and kept ogling at it for a good amount of time.

After enjoying the eye candy, Alan got back to his senses, "For heaven's sake Ryan, you have a girlfriend." Ryan pouted and Logan laughed loudly making the people in their surroundings stare at them. Alan pulled his friends to the side.

Just then, Annalise clung her arm around Ryan, "Hey, Ryan."

Ryan's liveliness instantly turned into a foul mood just by her presence. He threw away her arm and asked, "Why do you keep throwing yourself at me?"

"You know that I like you," she pouted while folding her arms just below her chest. Her subtle attempt to tempt went down the drain. Ryan was pretty drunk and did not have the patience to deal with her let alone check her out.

"And you know that I have a girlfriend," he showed his irritation by pulling his hair and pacing in the spot.

"Who also happens to be your best friend," reminded Alan. He never understood just how on earth would people want to steal away someone's else partner. And here is this bitch who wants her best friend's boyfriend. He felt bad for Julia, Ryan's girlfriend.

Annalise had turned deaf for that thing. Who cares if Ryan was her best friend's boyfriend, as long as she can have him. If Julia really cared about her boyfriend one bit about what she cares about her career and climbing the social ladder, then people like Annalise would not be around trying to tempt and steal Ryan.

Just when Annalise about to give a comeback to Alan, Ryan interrupted, "I'm leaving Alan and throw him at his place," he said referring to Logan. He was far from sober to digest the situation. He was leaning onto Alan's shoulder and had drowsy eyes.

"Yup, go ahead." The boys simply walked away in their vehicle's direction leaving Annalise in the spot. She was dumbstruck by what just happened. The boys simply downright ignored her and drove away.

"This won't go down well, boys, it definitely won't," she gritted her teeth while her fists were balled. She walked past her gang of friends.

William Anderson helped his wife Louisa to get down the car and walked behind the car to help Angelica get their items of luggage out. The flight had landed pretty late and now they had arrived at Anderson's house.

When Angelica got off the car, she had noticed the posh neighborhood and the beautiful houses. They were far sophisticated from the house she had lived in and had even seen.

"Welcome to our humble abode, Angelica," said Louisa as she held Angelica's hand and led her inside the house.

"Thanks, auntie. I am very grateful to you and uncle," Angelica said softly. She felt like she was being a burden on them. They had their own lives and families. She did not want to interrupt them and she was not sure how their family members would treat her.

"It's nothing sweetie, come on let's go inside, your uncle William will get our luggage in," Louisa winked at Angelica and not sparing a look at her husband, who was shaking his head at his wife's antics. It's not like he would let the ladies carry the luggage inside.

"Of course, ladies, get inside, I'll manage this," he ushered them inside and got to the work. He took bags one by one.

Ryan successfully parked his car in front of his house. Suddenly, the white colored car that was parked in front of his house caught his attention. He wondered if his parents had returned. He immediately turned off the engine and got off his car. He slowly walked towards the white car. He almost slipped down by reading the vehicle number. It was indeed his father's car and it only meant one thing, his parents were back home. Now, he would definitely get lectured for who knows till what time. He cursed himself and his intuition for getting drunk and coming home on this very day. Shaking his head, he made his way inside the house. Although he walked criss crossed, he safely reached the door.

He cautiously opened the door, there stood an exceptionally beautiful girl in a white dress. She had let her hair loose and her eyes were fixed on a painting on the wall in the hallway.

She looks divine. Just like an Angel. Said his heart and mind. He was sheepishly smiling to himself at his thoughts.

Angelica turned around when she noticed the front door opening. For a split second, she thought she thought a thief had barged in. She slowly walked towards the front door. There stood a tall man with blue eyes. Despite his drunken self and disheveled shirt and hair, he looked extremely handsome.

"Goodness, Ryan, did you have to come drunk on tonight only," Louisa said coming towards the front door.

"Mamma, I… I no drunk, mamma," he said turning to his mom. He did not want his mother to tell on him to his father. He was not ready for a lecture now. His head was spinning already.

"Angelica, can you help me put him to bed. I will do your introductions tomorrow morning," Angelica nodded to Louisa's words and went forward to help her.

So, Ryan is his name. And by his revelation, he must be Anderson's son, Angelica thought in her mind.

"You brought an angel to help me, mamma," Ryan said in his drunken voice making the ladies laugh at him.
