"so whats your name?"
"bond, james bond"
I told him to stop joking but he said he wasn't.
"my name is james tho, James Adler" he said smiling.
"oh that sounds nice, my name is Serena, Serena Beckett" i replied smiling back.
We talked about what classes we had and how we dealt with them. Surprisingly, i was getting along with him very well. I asked him about his parents but he ignored the question and asked me about mine, i wanted to know why he didn't answer but i didn't want to seem nosey. We walked around a few blocks while showed me the key places like stores and food places.
"hey, umm, i need some things, could we possibly go shopping in the nearest store?"
"yeah sure, lets go to this one" he said as he pointed at a mini supermarket.
"alright then, lets go" i said trying to sound cool, i just ended up sounding awkward.
I walked in and just took the necessary items like microwave food, disposable plates and utensils, maybe a few snacks and some girl items. I got a few bags to carry but he helped me with some, he took the heavier ones and i just took the ones filled with two minute ramen. He looked like he was having a fair time but i thought otherwise.
"what do you wanna do after this?" i muttered.
"don't know, spending time with an actual person is enough for me"
Now i said i didn't want to be nosey but that just got me concerned. I didn't know if he meant he doesn't have friends or he was some kind of caged bird at home or his apartment. Now i really wanted to get more info on him.
"So hows your family?"
"I dont care"
Wow, just, wow. Now I know he has some family issues to answer he doesn't care. He looked like the kind of person to adore his family, not say he doesn't care. Well anyways, i still want to know more, but to do that i have yo befriend him more.
"Wanna have a drink back at my place?"
"We shouldn't be taking alcohol" he answered giggling.
Okay so he had family issues but he's responsible, alright i can cope with that.
"I didn't mean alcohol, i meant something like tea or coffee"
"Sure that sounds nice"
"Alright then, lets just get some food to accompany the beverage"
We bought chicken nuggets with extra fries and coke, it looked like we were gonna have a. date night, but it wasn't.
"So what are we gonna do at your apartment?"
"I- i really dont know"
Okay so i didn't have a TV, only a laptop, and im sure we wouldn't have fun with that. I started to panic because we will literally have nothing to do and i dont want to be in awkward silence, and i cant just cancel the plans!
"We can go back to my place" he said, he probably saw the panic in me.
"Thats a wonderful idea" i muttered anxiously. I've watched enough anime and romance movies to know how things would go, but then again, this isn't an anime or a romance movie.
We arrived at my apartment and walked in with the bags, he said he will wait for me at his apartment so while i pack my things he has time to clean up. He ran out as if he had a dumpster in his apartment, but oh well, what did i expect.
After packing my groceries i walked out and walked to his door. I knocked on it a few times but it seemed like he wasn't there. Confused and ready to go back to my apartment, he opened the door.
"Sorry for the delay, it was just a bit too messy"
"Its alright, i would have done the same" i answered. I probably wouldn't have done the same because my apartment/home is never messy, but eh, it doesn't matter.
