As soon as I made up my mind, I pulled two long black daggers serrated with poison that I made myself with the 'alchemy' function, after many years of making my own poison my alchemy skill has been maxed making my poison very potent with many side effects.
Once I pulled out my daggers and rushed forward towards Abigail with intent to kill. My body flew through the air at such a high speed that she was caught off guard, this was an almost fatal mistake.
Once she saw me fly towards her, she tried to dodge, and she almost did, getting away with only a minor scratch just below her neck that barely pierced her skin, but even this was enough because my poison had already entered her bloodstream.
The poison that I make gives many debuffs that include movement speed reduction, hallucination, damage per second depending on how much was injected, and a loss in magical power also depending on how much was injected, and all these debuffs last for up to 10 minutes.
So even though I only scratched her, she will still feel the debuffs for 10 minutes unless she somehow has a potion strong enough to stop a level 100 poison.
After I scratched her she began to sweat and pulled out her sword, taking a defensive stance, she got ready to fight.
I got very curious about how she fought because she was the first person that I have seen with such a high level, so I waited for her to attack, but she never even took a step forward!
After waiting for more than a minute, I began to grow tired of this waiting and once again threw myself at her with full force. This time however I did not go for the neck, but the legs.
I flew through the air towards her as if I was going for her neck again and she readied her sword in a defensive stance, but at the last second I switched to attack her legs, however, right before my daggers hit her shin, I felt them strike something hard and heard the sound of clanking metal.
When I had realised what just happened, it was too late, I had already received the damage to my HP. I couldn't believe it, she parried my attack with such great speed!
'Who is this girl!?' I inwardly thought as I began to cover the wound on my back with a black liquid that oozed from my hands.
This is a skill called 'Black Adhesive' which lets me replace missing tissue with a dark liquid that is as hard as steel, temporarily healing me and giving me extra armor in that spot, but the liquid cannot replace vital organs and degenerates over time.
'It looks like her fighting style is defensive,' I thought to myself as I was trying to figure out how to breach her defenses.
'Well she can't parry forever, it takes major skill to parry so she must've gotten lucky' I said in my head, trying to keep calm.
I decided to use the trees to my advantage, so I jumped onto one of the nearby black pine trees shaking some of the ash off of it, then I jumped to another one, and another one and another one trying to keep her from knowing where I was coming from. I knew that my fog was distorting her vision and hearing but I still did this just in case.
After a few seconds of jumping from tree to tree, I then jumped towards her with my daggers again and went for her stomach.
Once I got close, I knew that it was over for her, she had been infected with my poison for a couple of minutes at least so the toxin must have kicked in already, plus I was at point-blank range so there was no parrying.
"Clang!!" I heard my daggers strike metal right before seeing my HP go down by an eighth of what I had left.
'WTF!!' I said in my head realizing that she had countered once again. She countered twice in a row, showing that she wasn't just getting lucky, countering isn't just a 'skill' in the game, everyone has the ability to parry and counter, but only some people actually have the reflexes to do it. If this was how she fought then I would have to think outside the box to take her down.
I immediately jumped back after finding out that she can parry, and then began to devise a plan to take her down. I hid in the trees to think and after a couple of minutes, I was ready.
The first thing I did after coming up with my plan was dispersing my fog spell. Next, I revealed myself to her to get her attention.
Once she saw me she stepped back while looking skeptical and then said, "What are you trying to do?"
I then answered, "I'm trying to defeat you," which wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either.
I then threw myself at her once more, and once more I was countered, but this was all according to plan. I kept doing this until my health was at half, all while Abigail was confused, then there was rumbling coming from the mountains from behind us, and then a loud screech.
Abigail's eyes grew to the size of a ping-pong ball as she saw what was coming this way from the mountains.
"There is a reason that this forest is covered in ash," I said smiling like a madman as a gigantic, black, dragon-like creature flew over towards our direction while exhaling large amounts of ash and soot from its huge nostrils.
"I bet you don't even know what that is, do you?" I asked, still smiling. Abigail didn't answer or even take her eyes off of the monstrous creature that now was less than 100 yards from us.
"It's the end-game boss!" I exclaimed while laughing. No one knew about the end-game boss except for me, which I found out after many years of living here in the Black Forest. 'The Dragon King' is its name, and not even I could beat it. I have tried many times over the years but never could, but I did find out that it only comes out when one or more Players was at half health and I technically count as a Player in the eyes of the system.
'Maybe if I worked with her we could beat the damn monster,' I said in my head realizing the exceptional situation that I was in.
"If we work together we might be able to beat it!" I said while walking closer to the still frightened Abigail.
As soon as I began to move, she immediately snapped out of whatever trance that she was in and looked me in the eyes with hatred.
"Fine," she said with a deep frightening tone, " but only if you tell me your name"
This question was very troublesome to me. I never had a name and anyone else even bothered to ask me for it, they only wanted a username which I also didn't have, but it's not like can just come up with a username because if I did then it wouldn't work for anything like adding to a party or a friends list.
So I decided to make up a name to give her.
"Arthur," I said, "Arthur is my name."
"Well Arthur, I guess we are a team for now," she said holding out her hand to shake mine.
"I guess we are," I said smiling and grabbing her hand.
Our little bonding moment was soon interrupted by a huge gust of wind coming from the humongous dragon that was now right in front of us.
As soon as she saw it, Abigail immediately took a defensive stance, a slightly different stance from the one that she used on me.
I also took a defensive stance, but it was different from Abigails, my stance was more focused on dodging rather than parrying because I was not as good at parrying as Abigail.
Once we had gotten in position, the dragon went for an attack, it swung its huge wing straight for the both of us, releasing a big gust of wind much like the one it created when it was flying overhead.
Abigail was definitely not ready for this as she was flung back against the tree, but I had predicted this because I had seen it in battle many times before.
As soon as it lifted its wing, I ran straight for the beast with all my might. Once I reached Its stomach I looked back to see the wind blow Abigail against a tree, I then turned my vision to the dragon and began climbing its stomach.
The dragon did not like the thought of a lowly human climbing up its stomach, so it began flying upwards in an attempt to shake me off, but I was stubborn and would not let go.
I continued to climb up the beast as it continued to fly around in the air in many different directions and patterns trying to shake me, meanwhile, I saw Abigail recover from the blow to the tree and begin casting a spell.
I had no idea what kind of spell she had that would do any good to this monster, but I was eager to see it. Nonetheless, I still continued to climb the dragon.
After about a minute of climbing and soaring through the sky, I finally reached the neck of the beast. I looked down at Abigail to find her still casting the same spell.
'That must be one powerful spell,' I inwardly thought as I grabbed out my daggers.
After I steadied myself on the dragon's neck I used a spell called 'Maximize' which allowed me to make any creature or object grow in size, It costs more mana the larger you make it.
I used the spell on my daggers to make them big enough to pierce the scales of the dragon and then enhanced them with yet another spell 'Shadow Strike' it lets me engulf anything in a special type of shadow that will act as a black hole to anything, besides me and mt equipment, crushing and devouring it.
Once my large daggers were consumed by the shadows, I threw them down with immense speed and strength. The force broke through the hard scales of the dragon and pierced its neck, then the shadows started eating away at the tissue inside its nape.
The dragon let out a loud screech as the dark blades made swift work of its neck, but it was not over yet. The dragon started diving towards the ground at the speed of a meteor.
I quickly teleported to the ground using 'Dark Teleportation', then I looked up to see Abigail who had finally readied the spell, she looked me in the and said something, but I couldn't hear her from the loud sound of the dragon landing on the ground right where she was just standing.
"BOOOOOMMM!!!!"
The ground exploded making a huge crater where Abigail was standing moments ago.
It was silent.
I thought that I had gotten rid of her and the dragon, two birds with one stone, but then a few seconds later I started to see a bright light from the crater, so I went to see what it was.
As I approached the crater, the light began to get even brighter, and then the dragon arose and stared me dead in the eyes, it was breathing heavily and smoke was blowing in my face.
Then, as the dragon was inches away from me, the light got so bright that it was blinding. I closed my eyes, and when I did I heard an explosion. I opened my eyes to see blood everywhere and Abigail in the center of the crater.
"You can't get rid of me that easily," she said.
