Catherine went around inspecting each case for any smudges. Even though no-one was allowed to get within 3ft of any case, however her being a neat freak compelled her to check anyways in order to calm herself down.
After doing her inspection she walked towards the front door, locked it, and proceeded to head towards to rows of switches. She flipped the first row down and the second row up, which started a sequence of noises that were barely audible. The floor in the center of the room suddenly opened revealing a staircase which eminated distant voices and a faint light.
After descending the steps she walked through a doorway that revealed bright room that had five other people wearing the nocturnal uniform. As she looked at the people she retrieved a few pebbles from her pocket and threw one at each person before speaking, which got their attention as they were already accustomed to her personality.
"Hey, stop lounging around and head on up. Our shift started 17 minutes ago." A short girl that had blonde hair and deep blue streaks in it looked at her phone and gasped as she was in charge of time management for the night. "I knew that I had forgotten something."
After hearing this the guy next to her who had the same colored hair but with the priorities switched smacked the back of her head, "That's why you're supposed to set an alarm, Carrol." Upon receiving the reprimand from her brother she looked up at him and roughly kicked his shin while exclaiming "I wouldn't have needed an alarm if you haden't distracted me with your losing streak against Tony." Hearing his name a guy who was of average height twisted his body around while spinning on his heel to assess the pair.
As he was about to speak a pebble struck him , while the siblings each received two pebbles to their foreheads. "That's enough, we're already behind. Get up there and do your assigned tasks." Cathrine said while motioning towards the stairs.
