Noah cupped his damp cheeks in his warm hands and pressed kisses on each cheek before rolling on his back, taking her with him securely tucked on his side.
"It's something emotional according to my fake shrink because my neurologist couldn't find anything wrong with my brain. The only medical explanation he could come up with was the excessive drinking. I used to be alcoholic and and it's not something I'm proud of for it was a dark phase of my life. I hate the person I became because of alcohol. I don't want to fall back into it, hence, I vowed not to touch any alcoholic drinks. But that night, with the thought of missing a rare chance of seeing my daughter, I broke my vow."
Noah looked at Jess furrowed brows and added.
"My ex-wife didn't just steal my work but cheated with one of our colleague."
