We'd been travelling for quite a while now, the darkness seemingly endless in its depths as the pit had turned into a cave which in turn I found out to be a sort of maze. Four hours into the journey as I traversed the stone path of rising rock and jagged constructions, forks had appeared along the deep tunnels. Simple lefts, simple rights and at times an assortment of ups and downs without any real thought behind it. My objective had been escape, any light that would shed an inkling as to where I was.
I took a tentative right this time, walking halfway through the dark as a familiar indenture in the ceiling above notified me of the fact that I'd taken some sort of loop and I quickly backtracked; [How long are we going to do this?] I heard her chime in the crevices of my thoughts, inciting a scoff.
