"How do I explain things to him now?"Rosey thought, staring at him, her fingers gripping the bedspread.
"Is it in here?"he asked and pulled the wardrobe doors. He walked in and widened his eyes in astonishment.
"Unbelievable! A room inside a room! Come see! Rosey it's unbelievable!"Acker said almost yelling.
Rosey felt somewhat relived that he had found a kind of distraction to keep his mind off of his spell book.
"It's ten pm! Lower your voice..."Rosey said while walking into the closet.
"It's just a closet...we keep our bags, clothes and stuff in here"Rosey casually said, whilst she gave him a tour.
"You humans and your need to house inanimate objects...it never seems to surprise me..."he said in a daze.
"What's the matter? Did you only wear orange robes all your life?"she teasingly asked.
"Oh! I see! You're trying to make mockery of me! Well, the jokes on you, I wore white coloured robes..."Acker triumphantly said.
"You must be kidding me, what about before you met the monks, what did you wear?"Rosey asked.
He sat on a footstool in the closet.
"I had this beautiful piece of cloth, red, silky, a fine seamstress made it, a beautiful...vest? Yes, that's what it's called. I looked so handsome..."
"Someone sounds humble..."Rosey muttered, he grinned at that.
"I wore that vest when my parents handed my guardianship to the monks"Acker said.
"What about you? Any sentimental clothing?"He asked her.
She sat on the floor, it was carpet grass, soft and green, Acker used his hand to inspect it.
His fingers caressing it gently before he sat opposite her.
"Fake grass? Impossible!"he exclaimed.
"Twenty first century magic.."she said trying not to grin.
"Well...my mother bought me this tutu...it was yellow she signed me up for ballet classes"Rosey said.
"What is a ballet?"Acker asked.
"It's a kind of dance"Rosey said, he stared at her for some seconds.
"Don't tell me that You've never danced before?"Rosey asked him sarcastically.
"I have, but am just trying to create an image of YOU dancing"he said.
"I'll take that as a compliment rather than an insult"Rosey quickly cut in.
"I didn't want to go, but my mom was like...'I did ballet, your grandmother did ballet....' and I ended up saying yes"Rosey said.
She sounded distant.
"I fell down, but mom always picked me up, I would go home after school put on my yellow tutu and dance again and again...Till I got it right"Rosey said.
Acker noticed how she gripped the carpet, she was tensed.
"Till one day...I fell, but the only thing different about this fall, was that no one was there to catch me"Rosey said, then paused. She took a huge breath in then exhaled.
"I can hardly imagine how much the fall must have hurt, and am not just referring to the physical"Acker said.
"Car crash, she survived, admitted into the hospital, fought for her life. Then two days later found out she had cancer"Rosey said.
"Ever since, I never put on that tutu, I could never bring myself to do it"Rosey said.
Acker stared at her for a while, he stretched out his hand to hold her, but immediately retracted.
"Discipline, you must not make physical contact with the opposite gender"he reminded himself.
"I have disheartened you greatly, is there anything that will lighten your mood?"he asked her.
She stared at him, and wiped off her tears.
"You didn't really, you helped me more than you know. But forget that, you have to rest up, you and I have a shopping spree tomorrow"she said whilst she stood up.
Acker stood up as well, following her strictly.
"Why were you shouting at the man I presume to be your father?"Acker asked.
"Why did my father bring you here? And where did he keep you?"Rosey fired at him.
Her hand on the door.
"It's rude to leave questions hanging...And I think it had to do with the intervention of a third party. Someone convinced him to do so, using your mother as a reason, a medical practitioner I assume?"he asked.
Rosey nodded.
Knowing fully well he was talking about Daniel. She folded her arms"so Daniel convinced him...and he used mother to do it"she thought to herself.
"I cannot answer the second question, I myself have no knowledge of where I was. But I had a feeling it was underground"he said.
Rosey grew interested almost immediately, "underground hospital? Why would her father have that! Did Daniel know about it..."
"Now you answer my..."
"Go to sleep, I'll tell you about it all tomorrow but for now I think we both deserve a little bit of shut eye before we go victory shopping"Rosey said while opening the door.
Before Acker could say anything else she was out of the room and the door shut behind her.
She breathed heavily.
"Why did I tell him about my past? Do I trust him so much?"
She walked past the bodyguards and stopped in front of them.
"If he wishes to stretch his legs permit him and don't ever make the mistake of not letting me go inside to see him. You'll regret it if you do"Rosey said, and they nodded.
She took a U-turn straight to Lily's room.
She knocked on the door, but no one responded, she knocked again but didn't get an answer.
"Lily!"Rosey called out.
No response.
"Come on!"Rosey called out again.
After some brief moments, fear enveloped Rosey, and she thought the worst.
Rosey tried to open the door but it was locked from the inside.
Without wasting time she went to a maid for a spare key.
The perplexed maid accompanied Rosey to the bedroom door.
Once they succeeded in opening the door the sight they saw was a sight for sore eyes.
Lily's room was a mess, and her bedroom window was left open.
A rope was seen, an escape method.
"Mr Red!"the maid shouted in panic as she quickly left to go locate her master.
Rosey opened Lily's closet, some clothes and a duffle bag was missing.
No note, no letter, no text.
In seconds the maid returned with two bodyguards who inspected the room.
"Tell the security to close the main gates, she couldn't have gotten far. You go ready the car let's go after her"
"No! Let her be, she needs to think"Rosey said to the bodyguards.
"Sorry Miss Red, these were direct orders from Mr President himself"the bodyguard said to her.
Both of them dashed out into the night to go find the run away girl.
**********
Lucy swiftly opened her eyes, she sensed someone come into her room. She was still weak, but she managed to sit up and face the August visitor.
"Heavens know why my daughters all have the tendency to run away?"a deep masculine voice asked. She immediately recognized the owner of the voice.
Mr Red stood there, against the wall, his hands in his pockets, the devil's incarnate.
"Hello, Mrs Red"he said in a strong domineering type of tone.
To worsen matters he walked over to her, taking quick steps towards her, till he halted in front of her. This action took her by surprise.
He placed his hand on her chin and stared into her eyes.
She dared not to stare back at him, looking a bit afraid.
"Another one's run away now...when will they ever learn they can't ever escape me... just like you"he said and before she could think twice, he crashed his lips into hers and pulled her in for a deep kiss.
Then pushed her onto the bed, unfastening the buttons from his shirt.
A/N: Note: Lucy only grew some of her hair back because of the time Acker healed her partially.
