Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Dominance She Lacked

A sound similar to a piano metronome vibrated through the ground as Tsuki approached the room Etoile was initially locked in. The beat of his footsteps increased as Etoile kept expostulating with RB for the door.

"Sir!" RB saluted to Tsuki who has already changed his attire. A few droplets of water threatened to fall from the tip of his hair, a sharp jawline glistened with a sheet of water vapour. Tsuki changed from his dark formal fashion to a more casual black top that revealed the outline of his abs as it tightly hugged onto his upper half, a set of baggy track pants emphasized the long structure of his legs. The wings were folded beautifully displaying the ethereal transcend of red to white as if demon wings dipped themselves in holy water to dye the tips white.

"I don't get paid enough to deal with this kind of being!" RB glared at Etoile with the sassiest pose she had up her sleeves. Being the kind soul Etoile was, she delivered a playful wink at RB while opening the door deliberately slow irritating RB whose job was to shut it. As a journalist, getting to the core information was a crucial and possibly life-threatening situation, and if getting someone away was to make them cringe, they will do just that even if their pride would bleed while they performed the act.

"Come with me" Tsuki commanded Etoile with no greeting nor regard to RB's existence. RB trotted off back to her occupation. Following Tsuki's pace in walking took a bit of exercise, Etoile jogged to keep up. They travelled through a few corridors, inside the glass panel sections of the wall were conference rooms. Some more luxurious than others with soft seats surrounding the thin slate table above were hovering rectangular lights that lined up in a zigzag shape. The walls were painted azure blue which complimented the grey carpet. To be having a meeting in such a nicely furnished room would definitely motivate the team.

Tsuki took hold of her hands and unlocked the uncomfortable hand-cuffs that imprinted hits reminiscence on her wrists.

They reached the end, Tsuki dialled the password accessing a room that led to a series of stairs. Marble stairs hung in mid-air on one side with strings like a swing, as the other end of the stair connected to the concrete wall. Etoile out of excitement was prepared to take the first step down only to walk into Tsuki's wide wings that emitted its half-size to pause her.

"I'll go first" Tsuki stepped down and held a hand out to Etoile as if inviting her to a ball dance. Etoile kindly accepted the help from what seemed like a gentleman. The stairs were an illusion, they were placed extremely widely apart. Etoile's eyes widened at the realisation that one wrong step and she'd fall into the black hole. Traps were everywhere. Her eyes trailed back to Tsuki who held her hand preventing her from falling. They marched down the flight of marble stairs, occasionally Etoile slipped. Tsuki would squeeze Etoile's small smooth hand tighter in his calloused large ones before she fell. Such kindness was a misapprehension just like the beauty of the stairs replaced with its deadliness.

The stairs led to a room filled with what seemed like dentist seat. There was an operation desk that lit up from below, large monitors encircled the sides displaying statistics and what placed most fear in Etoile's thump behind her rib cages was the presence of blood on the ground. Her hand remained within Tsuki's tight hands.

This moment of acknowledgement of the danger she has been ignorant to made her try to yank her hands out of the human cuff she was stuck in. Tsuki let go and caused Etoile to fall landing awkwardly. She stood up immediately from her horribly landed position and dashed for the door. Tsuki's wing length, possibly around 2.5 meters each, was enough to stop Etoile anywhere she went in the room. Etoile ran into his fluffy wings that hardened closer to the base; she was rolled towards his side. Etoile collided into his chest bashing face first, Tsuki's wings covered her whole back from head to shin. She looked up to his appealing face, great view however those sharp red eyes affirmed the dominance she didn't have.

"Stay put, understand? I'll be able to get you one way or another" Etoile's alarmed body could only nod in response. Perhaps he was a maniac, perhaps he was attempting to perform experiments on her, perhaps he was a mafia, perhaps a runaway criminal, perhaps she was about to be transformed into an animal-human too. Etoile was commanded to sit in the dentist chair as Tsuki took out a machine no larger than his palm that somewhat resembled a drawing tablet. The tall male ambled next to Etoile vulnerably grabbing hold of Tsuki's hands and attempted to wrestle and brawl away from his vicious grasp.
