Like his classmates, the professor overreacted to seeing him, but continued with his class.
There was nothing interesting for Aaron, the same old math. Common biology, periodic table etc.
Although in the periodic table he saw many elements that he had never seen before, it was also true that there were some that he did know but with another name.
"Well that's it for today. You can go home." The teacher didn't even deign to clean the blackboard, he took his things and went with great emotion to the staff room.
"It's only 9:30 in the morning. Why did class end so quickly?" Asked a boy.
"Idiot! It's November, remember." A boy behind him hit him on the head and said in annoyance.
"Oh, it's true!!" The boy reacted with a smile and packed his things.
Aaron frowned upon hearing his conversation.
'What's so special about the month of November for these people?'
When he left the room, Benjamin and David were already waiting for him.
"Ben. What's so special about this month?" Aaron asked curiously.
"Any." Was Ben's simple reply.
Almost as if he could see that he was not satisfied with his answer, Ben continued: "There is absolutely nothing that is celebrated in this month. Not Valentine, not Halloween or any other special date. This month has always been free of any celebration. "
Aaron wanted to keep asking, but Ben just waved him to be quiet and looked around cautiously.
Aaron's face turned serious at his reaction and he nodded.
They walked for a long time, when they saw that they were far from anyone else, they stopped and stared at each other.
"You have completely lost your memories, but you can still perceive it right?" Ben stared at him seriously.
Aaron doesn't know what he's talking about exactly, but he nodded.
Ben sighed and continued.
"Every year, always in the month of November. Be it schools, companies, supermarkets or local, they all close early."
Aaron understood immediately and urged him to continue with his gaze.
"Logically speaking, doing that would hurt the economy, even slightly, so why do they do it?" Ben looked at Aaron with curiosity in his eyes. "The day is not clear either, like today. This year it could have been November 2, last year it was November 8. Some years they even do it several days in a row."
Ben sighed. "You and I called it 'the November mystery' if you hadn't lost your memory, this would be our fifth year trying to solve the mystery."
"And why not?" Aaron asked with a smile.
Ben raised his head with a little doubt.
All of his family could easily tell that this is no longer the Aaron they knew and although it was very difficult for them to say, they were very happy with the accident he had.
'Maybe this year we can solve the mystery and who knows also the other mystery from the end of November.'
"Okay, but you have to follow my orders to the letter. Got it?"
Aaron nodded with a smile. Right now he was very happy and excited, he felt that he was a child again and everything was a new adventure.
Who cared if a 14-year-old gave him orders? He just had to treat it like a game. Besides, there was no one better informed about this world than Ben.
"You know I'm here too right?" David pulled Aaron's shirt off and looked at them like two idiots.
"David."
"David."
Aaron and Ben looked at David with a smile.
"Boys." David trembled slightly and turned away from the two. "You guys are scary!"
"I'm sorry David, but we can't leave any loose ends." Ben stared at him still with a smile on his face. "Aaron catch him!"
"Nooooooooooooooooooo !!"
With David bound and gagged, Aaron and Ben continued on their way home.
According to Ben, every time it was November and they were let go home early, they found the house all alone. Not because their parents were working, but because like most adults, they went to a certain place to meet.
Each time he learned more and more, Aaron only became even more intrigued.
Every year in the same month, all the adults in the city would stop what they were doing, be it work or something else, and meet in a certain place.
If that wasn't suspicious, then what was ?!
When they got home, Aaron threw David onto the bed, while Ben knelt and pulled two black bags from a secret compartment under his bed.
"Take this one for you." Ben tossed him the smaller bag. When he opened it he realized that he had a rope and several harnesses.
"It is important that you know that what we are going to do is illegal." Ben looked at him seriously.
"It is illegal." Aaron asked in surprise.
"Do you think we are the first children to try it? Or that we are the only geniuses, who noticed this suspicious behavior?"
Aaron just smiled sheepishly, but I don't know he pulled back.
That only made him more motivated to solve the mystery.
"The success of this mission is entirely up to you." Ben hit him on the shoulder. "And Aaron, whatever you see there ...... Swear to me, you'll tell me."
"He swore it." Aaron raised his hand in promise. "But why did you make me swear it?"
"As I told you before, we are not the only ones who have tried and inevitably someone had to succeed." Ben opened his bag and put the black bag inside.
"So? What did they say?" Aaron asked.
"Everyone was silent. For some strange reason, everyone who found out the truth, decided to keep quiet." Ben said with a grim expression.
"Are you ready."
"Yes."
"Good. Come on."
"Where?"
"To the hostel in the city."
