The EMTs assessed the situation quickly and strapped Eden into a gurney while asking Jonah questions because he was the one who made the 911 call. They made to leave him behind once they got the bare minimum of information they needed but he wasn't about to let that happen.
"Wait! Don't leave me behind; I'm her friend," he said desperately.
There was no way he would be able to function without knowing Eden was okay for himself. He would be able to answer any more questions they might have at the same time if they let him come along.
The EMTs exchanged a glance before gesturing for him to go up in the cab. "Hop in."
Jonah told the ambulance driver everything he had told the 911 operator on the way to the hospital, barely able to keep calm enough to be coherent. When they arrived, he was forced to wait in the ER as Eden was wheeled away.
